Andy Dalton

Ok.....Andy Dalton is having a pretty good rookie season also...But lets e clear his production is not even close to Cam Newtons. Andy Dalton has taken about 100 less passing attempts than Cam and just got over the 1,000 yard mark. Cam is first in the league in completion over 20+ yards and second in actual passing yards. He has more rushing yards than most RB in the league with 326 and 7 TDS. and besides cincy defense is ranked in the top half in the league. The NFC South is most competitive division in the NFL. In the pass 10 years every team has been or won a super bowl. Its going to be constant changing of the guard our division and our time is comming up. So, if Cam Newton continues on his pace and losses the ORY it would be ashame.

and whats with all these commentator doubting his accuracy? Check the stats he had one of the best Qb ratings in college? His numbers were identical to andrew lucks besides the rushing touchdowns but is that bad?

OH yeah, what if Andrew Luck flops next year? would espn finally fire Mel Kiper? Because remember who else was NFL ready!!!!:jc:

lol Dalton may be a rookie but he's twice the QB Palmer is(post-injury Palmer, before the injury Palmer had such a bright future).

bengals bent Oakland over getting a 1st & 2nd round pick for him. I'd say 2 1sts but Oakland has to win a playoff game for the 2nd rounder to turn into a 1st... so yeah, a 1st & 2nd.

Makes your job a lot easier when you are playing behind the 5th ranked defense in the NFL. It lets you have a more balanced attack, it takes pressure off from trying to make something happen every single play. Cam doesn't have the luxury of allowing the game to come to him. He has to make things happen because everyone knows our defense is good for giving up 25 points a game.

The guy has 2400 yards passing, 330ish yards rushing, 18 total TDs and 9 INTs. That is equal production to Tom Brady....as a rookie.

    • Bryce is a really smart kid and I'm sure he knows all the answers to the test but he hasn't been able to overcome his lack of physical tools and other DC's know this and play him accordingly. I think Bryce has good processing but when the correct read is the WR 30 to 40 yards down field and you have a defensive lineman coming at you what can he really do? He just doesn't have the arm to effectively and consistently hurt the defense and I think that's what's gonna do him in.  Pime example look at the INT versus Dallas last year when Thelien was wide open down the seam and Bryce threw it from a clean pocket and the ball was way short. Dc's watched that and knew that Bryce can't throw the ball deep.
    • I'd give Bryce until the trade deadline to prove he's the answer and if he's not I'm dumping him for whatever pick we can get and I'm riding with Dalton the rest of the way.  2 and a half years is enough time to determine if he can be the QB going forward so for Bryce he needs to come out over the next couple of weeks and show that. The other players in the locker room don't wanna waste another year of their careers waiting to see if you'll ever figure it out.  If you took a poll of the players in the locker room I'm sure they'd rather lose with a respected veteran Dalton who at least gives them some creditability versus losing with Bryce who the entire media will say was let down by his supporting cast when in reality it's Bryce's physical limitations that are holding this team back.
    • I agree that he should’ve never been the pick at 1. In my 44 years I’ve never seen a team invest that much in a QB who is my size. I’m not meant for the NFL and neither is he.    Accepting we can’t change the past, I think it’s the correct call to keep playing him hoping that he will prove us wrong. I think we were dumb not to draft a QB this past year and let him learn and compete but that’s our reality.    I’m hoping this is the last year with the BY experiment and he deliverers us 1. To the playoffs or 2. The number one pick and we draft a real QB.
