"Talk about that kid in Carolina, but this kid Dalton is pretty good"

gave up 0, scored 17

I'd say the team won the game, and Dalton had a huge role in that.

Not saying he's better than Cam, but I think the over-sensitivity some have here to people saying positive stuff about Dalton is a bit crazy.

Its not about that. I've been praising Dalton this entire time. (you can look at my posts if you like) All I'm talking about is the folks that ARE comparing the two and not seeing the difference.

What Dalton did is nothing to brush off, especially for a rookie. But it helps when you have help on the other side of the ball. Can you imagine us shutting a team out for two halfs?? not in this lifetime.

some of you guys are so freaking insecure. Dalton is playing well, too. The rest of his team is also playing well.

Get over it. There can be more than one good rookie QB, jesus.

Pull your head out of your behind. I don't give a crap about Cam Newton or Andy Dalton, what I give a crap about are RETARDED OPINIONS FROM FOOLS WHO SHOULD KNOW BETTER.

This "Dalton is 6-2" crap is pissing me off because it's such an over-simplified statement that it becomes a LIE. The Bengals are 6-2 because of more reasons than Andy Dalton's game management.

People like Bradshaw and the fools over at ESPN should be making more intelligent statements than they make, and as a result, EVERYONE is making the same DUMB statements that they are.

If the Bengals score 24 points, or even 22, they win. If the Panthers score 29, 27, 23, 21, 21 they lose all five.

I hate the media for conditioning the public to be as simpleminded as they are. If the world woke up tomorrow, and today's media was gone, the world would be better off.

Dalton played well' date=' but he also has the benefit of a defense that doesn't allow opponents to score many points. You seem to forget that routinely when slurping on Dalton and Luck and hating on Cam....[/quote']

You seem to forget they were down two scores and he lead the comeback.

Of course the Bengals are 6-2 for more reasons than Dalton... but he's a major reason why. The team was abysmal and in disarray last year... Dalton has helped turn them around. It's not as if Dalton got a lead from the defense and sat on it, he lead a comeback to win the game and protected the football while doing so.

He deserves a great deal of the credit for playing good football. He's doing exactly what he is asked. That doesn't mean he is doing it alone - maybe Bradshaw said he was, I didn't hear his comment - but it seems the only people unimpressed by Dalton are those who think admitting someone else is playing well is somehow a slight against Cam.

Why does everyone get all hurt when someone praises another rookie QB?? Dalton is playing well for a rookie QB period. Cam isnt the only rookie with a bright future.

Point is he just threw it in there out of no where. I mean he showed his true hatred toward Cam with that comment. Why not say something like "This Dalton kid is having a great season and should get consideration for ROY" or something like that why say "Say what you will about that guy in Carolina" I wish Kurt had asked "who said anything about Cam?":sifone:

We will see how our D does against Tenn next week. Bet they score more than they did today.

Doesn't matter how the defense does. If Tennessee wins 31-26, it'll be "Cam still can't win" and "Dalton just beat this team", instead of the Panthers' defense couldn't stop a pee wee team.

A lot of the people who really love Dalton really, really hated Newton coming out of college.

Package deal.

It's called jealousy...and some folks take it to the extreme of unadulturated hate.

These rookie QBs are all doing the same thing but u really can't over-look that Dalton is the benefactor of a really good team..

If there is going to be any real comparison in a apple for apple comparison, it should be Ponder and Cam. They both went in the first round to teams who were seriously looking for QBs. As I stated before, the Bengals weren't really looking for a QB per-say. They just got one on stand-by just in case Carson didn't changed his mind.:D

You seem to forget' date=' if we had a defense that gave up just 17.6 points a game we would be the only undefeated team in the league.....[/quote']

not so sure about that - the Bengals actually are averaging more points per game than we are, we might just have their record instead of being undefeated. ;)

    • It's crazy with how much winning was going on when we had a little cool off period that we're still just a couple games out of 6th. Moussa is getting better every week and Coby is getting comfortable. Would be nice to get to 6 but I think this team is a lot more stacked than the last couple play ins. I can't remember the exact rules but if you're 7th seed and win the first game I think you automatically move on and don't have to play the second game?
    • I think it was a thing for sure. Panthers weren’t too many people’s first choice. Or 5th choice.  2022 and 2023… coaches fired mid season. Consecutive years. You want any of that?  He has definitely overseen a rehab of how the Panthers are perceived. Because we are a place that is seen as up and coming. And just the little thing of he accommodated Theilen so graciously, that gets noticed. It all adds up. Dan is doing a lot of things right, probably most things.  Needs a good draft.
    • K, I think that is dumb, but you do you. I didn't find anything online that made him out to be a dislikable person. I am certain the Panthers would have cared so much if they lost your fandom if they hired Sean Payton. But bet you would have come crawling back if Sean lead us to a Super Bowl victory or Golden leads UNC to a champion ship. It is easy to say you are gonna leave a team if the hire someone you dislike when the chips are down. But people like you tend to come crawling back once the team finds success.
