I searched around and didn't see any threads about this, sorry if it has already been posted (and I'm shocked if it hasn't).

Two ppl have told me with connections to a local hospital that Cam Newton had an MRI today. No word on what for.

(this was tweeted yesterday).

Anyone know what this is about or related to?

Well, it's Saturday and he hasn't shown up on any injury reports....the League takes those reports seriously, so there would be some info out there if he was experiencing a problem that would keep him off the field...Might be true, but it could be something simple like for his pinkie on his non-throwing hand.:)

I shouldn't have posted this. I forgot huddlers knew everything about everyone.

Cam fully participated in practice all week. There is nothing wrong with him, if there was you'd think he'd be practicing with an ankle sprain? Christ, people believe anything someone tweets without any facta.

Yep the team has to report it, or they get fined.

    • 14 B2B games.... 15 of the last 25 on the road.   Ehhhh we will be resting by the end anyways.
    • And that's the issue. I'm socially fairly liberal, but I'm also fairly fiscally conservative. I could see giving them guaranteed contracts at smaller amounts, but guaranteeing a multi-million dollar contract for someone that has around half a probability of being in the NFL for four years and hamstringing teams' finances is not necessarily something I'm cheerleading.  Admittedly all of this is systemic and possibly even structural at present, but the NFL FOs and NFLPA is going to have to go to the grindstone and figure this stuff out. There is a possibility that there will be some "pain" that we, as fans, are going to have to endure because of it, but hopefully it will be better for us on the other side. I'm skeptical though. There is greed on all sides--agents, players, owners--but the preponderance of the greed is on the owners, and I as a fan am not into them taking more out of my pockets than they already are.
