Ron Edwards?

got him for 2 more years. Were not as bad off as we think. we just have so many injuries, once we get healthy we will be a lot better. need a true #2 corner, 1 more vet DT, an OLB because can't bank on TD coming back to who he was. on offense o-line depth, especially a tackle! maybe matt kalil in the draft if he's there. and resign shock. and we need a difference maker in the return game. the likes of a ted gin jr who is a FA

he'll be back next year and be average for us, which is a big upgrade at the position.

average? based on what?

he was dominant in kansas city as a starter for years, he was their number one re-signing priority in the offseason and they were pissed when he signed with us instead.

that was a big move. this crap about hurney ignoring positions and being content to play subpar players is overblown. edwards and a rotation of fua and mcclain would've been solid at worst.

Again he's gonna be average for us, he's not going to be a disruptive DT like Suh, Wilfork,Jenkins etc.

he's solid. he wasn't dominant. if he was dominant the chiefs would have resigned him being that he signed a 3 year 8.25 million dollar contract.

Dominant? He played on a consistently bad run defense so it would be hard to call him a dominant run stuffer.

They were not pissed he was let go as they were looking to upgrade the position since he is not a true 3-4 NT. You will hear terms like "servicable journeyman" to describe him as well as references to him being out his true position while playing NT. Gregg is considered an upgrade there.

and im sure you just made that up that he was the chiefs number one resigning priority.

Well, I am sure that you are wrong.

Actually he did not make it up. The Chief's front office made that statement....and the fans on the Chief's boards are pissed that he got away.

I little bit or research on your part and you will not look like a COMPLETE idiot.....just a regular one.

Then you wouldn't mind stating your source/quote?

and if thats true that he was their number one priority that wouldnt make much sense because he wore down big time at the end of the season and hes not a good fit for a 3-4 defense and also they let him get away for less than 3 million a year but yet they signed kelly greg for 3.5 million.

    • generally speaking, going by the original NFL international marketing rights announcement... we would expect to host a Germany home game once every four years.  Doesn't mean we would play internationally only then, just the guarantee home game situation things might have changed since then, if they figure out how to play at more stadiums during a season to expand the number of "home" teams available
    • Munich won't happen. It's a Lions home game in Munich, but we play the Lions at home at BOA Most likely to happen would be Madrid vs the Falcons (although KC has been pushing hard for this one). From a schedule perspective, it would be interesting to have an early November Madrid game (then the bye week), then close out the season at BOA for the 2nd game vs the falcons.  In other words, put the two division games in the 2nd half of the season Paris vs the Saints has long been rumored to be the Browns (but... never say never) We wouldn't play Munich, Melbourne, Mexico City, London, or Rio based on who those announced home teams happen to be
    • Moton's knees were an issue before last season. He will be 32 before the season starts and gets 14.2M in '26 and 21.5M for '27 (not guaranteed). LT Icky and Rasheed Walker are signed through '26 and Freeling through '30 (option); LG Lewis signed through '28, C Fortner through '26 and Hecht through '29; RG Hunt through '28, RG Moton through '27.  They did a good job shoring up that oline.  We can have a starting oline of: LT Freeiling, LG Lewis, C Hecht, RG Hunt, and RT Moton pretty much locked up through the '27 season (will just take a Moton option to do). That's good because we need to be ready to pull the trigger with next year's QB class.
