One of those interceptions came in garbage time. 1. The other one ytou mentioned is what cost us the game. He pushed the ball down field against a Prevent defense with a poor pass. Did everything you could possibly do wrong on that play.

and here I thought the defense allowing a touchdown to put us down 42 to 35 is what lost us the game

Down 7 points in the 4th quarter, your QB trots onto the field heroically, and then, with two minutes remaining, and three timeouts, proceeds to heave a terrible pass downfield against a Prevent defense for an interception, losing the game.

Not what legends are made of. I suppose the best part is how we will have to listen to how "clutch" The Golden Calf of Bristol is and how much of a "choker" Cam is. Just to add insult to humiliation.

But, that's not garbage time, like you said it was. Cam's numbers were legitimate numbers compiled during the course of the game. Both good and bad.

Yeah, never mind that down 8 points in the 4th quarter, our QB trotted out onto the field historically and actually lead an 8 point drive to tie it. All the defense has to do is hold and, at worst, we're looking at overtime, maybe a chance to win on a FG or a late TD!

Our defense, ever stout, walked onto the field but might as well not have bothered.

Cam deserves some blame, but this loss has more than enough to go around with most of it going on the defense IMO. Cam isn't The Golden Calf of Bristol, but then again, did you see how The Golden Calf of Bristol did against the Lions? Heh.

That was not a terrible pass. It was a good one actually. The defender just made a great play on the ball. Besides, why were we calling that play anyway on first down?

and for allowing a QB with a broken index finger on his throwing had to throw 5 TDs

and for allowing an RB who was rejected by 7 teams this year and was sitting on his couch by the phone a couple weeks ago to run 149 yards and score 2 TDs.

it's all your fault.

damn you to hell...

see how ridiculous that sounds? now lets never argue that poo again. ok? thanks.

Who are u telling...Like do these people not study tapes and realize that Matt Safford is a slow QB who comes to life only in the late third and fourth QRTR of a game? The defense should have been ready for him. 5 tds is BS.

It's sickening to look up and see the Panthers scoring then 2 seconds later see the damn opposing team in the Panthers' redzone.

There were shorter routes underneath. Cam decided to bomb it. I swear there is an excuse for every mistake he makes, it's getting tiresome.

This is my one complaint about him... Our coaches need to convince him that not every play needs to be a 30 yard gain.

    • I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.
    • Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
