and jordan gross has half of them

He had a bad day yesterday with 2 penalties, but he only had 3 coming into the game, so he is at 5 on the year.

Our primary offenders are guys like Bell, Naanee and Captain. Not Gross.

Edit: Correction, Captain and Gross both have 5. For reference, we have had 13 from the RT spot, 11 from Bell and 2 from Otah.

We are a very undisciplined team and deserve most of them. I was watching a replay yesterday and there was Bell once again using hands to the face. I was like UGH really! How many times do you have to do that to know you cant. Thank god they were not calling that yesterday.

If you are not cheating you are not trying. BB is the epitome of this. his tech will progress and I thank him for doing all he can in the fire he has been thrown into.

How many drives have been stall because of the same thing? I understand cheating but if your going to do it, get away with it!

these penalties have stalled quite a few drives but I like a guy, especially a rook, stalling a drive with holding or hands to face than turning a vet DE loose on Cam and him taking a hit or floating another pick. It's catch 22 and I think we should look at the rooks different. What is inexcusable for Gross can be applauded coming from a rookie like Bell but both fouls result in failure for sure.

CJ has 6 on the year, so yes, he is one of the ones above Gross. And just for reference, Olsen is also tied with Gross.

Other than Bell, the vets have hurt us more than the young guys, in spite of what many believe.

How many does CJ have that aren't 15 yard personal fouls - on 3rd and 4th down?

Posting the # of penalties is like watching the box score instead of the game. I'd take 13 false starts over 1 personal foul on 4th and two miles.

    • Correct this logic I might if it meant taking his guaranteed money now and spread it over 3 years (2026-2028) and maybe add $6m.  I am not sure you can do that, or that he would do it, but it would be a way for him to extend his career and bank accounts and we would be getting him for $6m for 2 years (if healthy), basically, since his entire salary is guaranteed now.  If not, we lose an additional $6m spread over 2 years.  So let's say his guaranteed $$ for 2026 is $18m.  Give him a $24m contract ($8m per) through 2028.  Worst case:  We get $10m in cap relief now and create $3m dead cap for 2 years (2027-8).   Best case?  We get cap relief now and a good/decent guard/tackle for 2 years (2027-2028) and the total salary per year when he is active would be $12m if you don't count any money for the season he cannot play.  That is a good value, and we'd basically be getting a 50% discount rate.  Since we have so much guaranteed now, extending him is not as crazy as it seems.   Something has to be wrong with this logic...
    • I don't disagree about Nikishin's potential availability, but Hamilton as a replacement? Not an upgrade in my book.
