Motels and hotels downtown are expensive but its fun to stay downtown if you can lots of good bars down along the riverfront.

A beautiufl old city with lots of great little parks - you need to see the place where midnite the garden of good and evil was inspired - if youre into antiques they ahve some great antique stores downtown

Make sure you hit the Pirate House Restaurant at least for lunch and a beer

I love Savannah! The first time I was there the SS Savannah had just been retired. (First Nuclear gargo ship.) I remembered a model from years before of it.

I don't remember seeing it the last time I was there, about 7 years ago.

Waterfront is great, walk to the top of the light house.

I bet this time of year is pretty with all the old homes decorated. Honestly, I'd probably wait until Spring or Summer, when it's light more.

Stop by on your way there or home and visit the 8th Air Corp Museum!

Great spot. I would use priceline to get a room. Or got the Inn at Ellis Square. Hotel rates should be great now.

You do need to stay on Bay st or River st.

There are a ton of bars to goto. Just start at one end of river street, bar hop. Most places don't charge a cover, which is nice. If you goto the squares near Wild Wings, there are a bunch of cool bars.

....however, if I had a choice, I would goto Charleston. Charleston is much better...

I remember why I went there the last time.

My Doctor had just diagnosed me with "Significant Hearing loss" and I was really down. (I knew I was having problems hearing people, especially when they didn't talk directly to me.) I wanted to go some place "fun" and veg out.

My then GF was being a B**** and wouldn't return my calls, so I took another girl there! :D (Yes, I told her I went to Savannah. No I didn't mention that I didn't go alone.)

Go to Savannah. I was born and raised in Wilmington, moved to Savannah for school...Savannah is everything Wilmington wants to be. Don't get me wrong, I love Wilmington, but Savannah has everything Wilmington does and then some. Rocks on the River (Bay Street)/Rocks on the Roof have really good food, reasonably priced but they have a really cool atmosphere. For breakfast you absolutely have to go to Goose Feathers, which is in the square around Avis and Wild Wing Cafe (if you want to see some eye candy go there, the waitresses there are out of control hot). Thats really all I know though, broke college student so I don't get to eat out that often.

This is the view from Rocks on the Roof...

Also, just a warning but most of Savannah smells like poo from about 1 am until 10am.

Nikk, if you read this post, you will know by having to go to wild wings to see hotties, that the answer is Wilmington.

    • Dude, I think I might be having Jarvy withdrawals... I ripped the sleeves off of all of my t-shirts in my sleep last night. Every bite of my Alpha-Bita cereal spelled Seth, this morning. And, I took 7 naps before lunch. I'm losing it guys! Jarvy's Jaunty Band of Jaggoffs are getting more play than he is... smh Team Canada doesn't treasure Jarvis the way he deserves. He should take his band down to Liechtenstein, get a bag of passports, and start his own Olympic team! The raw animal magnetism of Jarvilicious will bring in a handful of NHLers on its own. And, since the IOC believes in collective punishment, he could have his pick of the rookies. Then, just fill out the rest of the roster with the maple blooded great white northerners who couldn't make the top squad. Can't trust this assembled awesomery to just any old Liechtensteinien with a clipboard and a whistle. Gotta bring in a legend worthy of this gold medal gambit. A hockey HOFer with the balls to buck the system and the aura to match our maverick. Huere geil, Vaduz!!! 2030 Gold Medal guaranteed!
    • Tennessee isn't trading a QB on a 2nd round contract that has starting experience.  That's bad business.
    • OT is the top priority as it is both an immediate and future need.  I wouldn't be past trading up slightly to get the guy we want.  You need that rookie contract right now.  Icky is a dead 17.5 million for the season.  Morton is 20+ mil for the season, Hunt is 20+ mil for the season.  There needs to be forward thinking regarding the future.   Caleb Lomu is a left Tackle, he's a solid prospect, he may be the best pick for us now and in the future.  I would seriously consider cutting Hunt after 2026, and let Lomu and Icky fight for the LT job, loser moves inside.  Icky's future may be at guard after this injury anyway.  If Damien Lewis keeps up his level of play he will need to be paid sooner rather than later.  Yosh and BC can be our top two depth OL at an affordable price.  You will need to look at OT again in 2027. Getting an EDGE for the sake of getting an EDGE outside of the top 10 is pretty risky.  I wouldn't be against eyeing someone like Cashius Howell, Derrick Moore, or TJ Parker in the 2nd (even if we trade a future pick to move up) or DDS in the third. I'd love to see us try to sign both Leo Chenal and Matt Millano in FA.   Chenal for the blitzing element we are missing from our LB corps and Millano for his elite coverage.  They could both work in tandem.  Remember, our FO has deep ties to both KC and Buffalo. I love thinking about the draft, but until Free Agency hits, we are clueless.  Looking at the strength of FA and the draft, OL is priority #1, LB #2, and EDGE #3.  We know what happens to Bryce when protection falls apart.
