Our Best Performance As a Team This Season

This was truly our most complete performance all year.

The defense and offense complimented each other. The defense played great overall and I was pleasantly surprised that we actually held their run game in check... Actually, we shut it down.

Offensively, Cam was dynamic. Would've liked to get a few of those deep balls into Smitty, but still, pretty flawless performance. The TD pass was SICK and was an elite-level type throw (then again, we've seen a lot of those so far this year). He has continued to show why our franchise is in great hands going forward.

Slow clap for Naanee. Nice TD.

BUT, LaFell continues to show why he should've been starting much earlier... You have to wonder just how big of an effect his presence as the #2 guy has had on the offensive performance the last two weeks.

And again, the defense played their most complete and dominating game yet. A few blown coverages, but nothing too bad and a solid outing overall.

Kaiser is a beast... Reminds me of Grant Wistrom.

From what I saw of Frank Kearse, I have to wonder why he hadn't been activated earlier. Saw him shed blockers several times to be in on plays. He looked really good.

Still have to give Senn credit for what he's done as of late. I think no matter what happens, he should be back here next year and should be given a chance to compete for a starting spot.

ST, well, it was their best game yet because Mare didn't get blocked and therefore they didn't cost us any points. Great game!

Keiser is definitely one of those players that has a knack for always being in the right place at the right time... that's an invaluable trait especially on this team.

Lafell... last year I thought he couldn't catch a cold, but this year he has caught almost everything thrown to him and made some really smart cuts and adjustments back to the QB. He will be a serious threat next season with Gettis back in the lineup.

Oh yeah guys, don't forget! As huddle mandated, feel free to bump this thread or make mock threads about it if our team decides to go back to sucking next week and tell me what an idiot I was for being right about this week!

Back to being "internet cool"! :delhommey face:

Nope, that still goes to the Redskins game.

As far as LaFell goes.... Ummm, he hasn't done anything Nanee hasn't been doing his entire time in... A couple of catches for under 100 yards... Production looks VERY similar. Difference being LaFell hasn't been in a clutch situation where he NEEDED to make a catch at the end of a close game and dropped it like Nanee...

I disagree about LaFell. There's a huge difference. He's catching when he's open and Naanee wasn't. And actually, I think the benefit of moving LaFell up and Legs down has been two fold. Naanee seems to be performing better as the slot as well. It may just be because we aren't counting on him as much, but it just seems he's more comfortable in the #3 role than he was as a starter.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
