So guys, playoffs....

Many of you might not think we got it, but there is an outside chance that we can make the playoffs. This does involve us winning out, but i like our chances now as compared to a month ago. We play everyone in the division again and Houston. Tampa is done, Atlanta is playing like crap, New Orleans might not need a win when we play them, and Houston is playing with a backup QB. Another note to add to this is that Chicago and Detroit are done. Detroit's collapse is typical failure stench coming from that town, and Chicago doesn't want to make the playoffs b/c they're not attempting to get a QB. Dallas nor the Giants don't want to win the East so they're losing as much as possible. I think at 8-8 we can sneak in.

Turnover plus bad defense is how we lose.

Like TRD said we need to prove ourselves against a good qb and a good defense before we start saying playoffs.

I can't believe I just said like TRD said.

I think that comes at home this week against Atlanta, who is slipping. We never play well in the Dome, but we even hanged last year at home I think? Correct me if i'm wrong.

no chance we make the playoffs but given our schedule a 4 game win streak is definitely doable

Falcons @ home - this game could go either way, but I could see a win

@ Texans - they're starting TJ Yates and just lost Andre Johnson for (likely) a couple weeks. winnable game.

Buccaneers @ home - they're a bad team, easiest game left on the schedule

@ Saints - if they are playing for the #2 seed I count this as a loss. If they're resting starters yeah it's a win, but the 49ers only face one team above .500 down the stretch so it'll likely come down to the last game for the #2 seed.

sadly I can also see us losing out with how inconsistent this team is.

    • The successful teams in the NFL right now have one thing in common: Patience. Not just with their QB, but with every facet of the program. There are going to be successes and failures, but no one panics and makes reactive decisions. Look at the Eagles, the Bills, the Ravens, the Packers, and hell, even the (newly successful) Lions. All of them showed patience with their QB's growth, let their coaches do their jobs, have drafted well, developed their own players, and plugged holes in their roster and organization with players and situations that made sense. That's what we need. And if that isn't what we have now, we need to make moves to get it there. If that means they need to blow it up to start over, then blow it up and start it over the right way. If that means to change their approach from top to bottom, change it now. But the blueprint of success is out there in the league, teams just think they know better, or they don't have the discipline to follow through.
    • X was drafted too early, needs refinement and is playing out of position. We knew this. What's the issue? Personally, I think he will be fine. Just needs more time.
    • Rozeboom is a JAG. Shaq was most definitely not a JAG.
