Gross might not be able to play Sunday

not worried.

with a vet like Gross they would be foolish to practice him before Friday w/ a tender ankle. Gross will play. Rivera said he wasn't really worried. Wharton is comparable at LT...we have seen that in the past.

worry about RT and if they decide to move Abraham on Bell.

They can just put Ray Edwards on Bell and get the same result. :/

Nah, Ray Edwards is poo compared to Abraham.

Exactly. If he can still get by Bell, then there's going to be consistent pressure on that side.

Abraham will face Gross + TE (especially if Gross is not 100%.) Bell will face Edwards, will lose to Edwards, creating consistent pressure.

If Gross faces Edwards, Gross nullifies Edwards, even while he's hurt, leaving Bell + TE to face Abraham, which is still in our favor.

So, as the opposing coach, you put Edwards on Bell to get constant pressure by forcing us to double team Abraham on the left side.

How often do you see Gross getting help to double someone all game? Gross is solid. I don't think his ankle will make him a liability. Abraham can flat out beat Bell like a drum w/o help.....

With a hurt ankle, facing John Abraham, I'm sure Gross'll have help. I'm not saying Gross is not solid... But, it's John Abraham.

Gross has played for years with tweaks and bangs. He is just getting some rest. He will be ready to roll. Gross has dealt w/ him this year and others who are better.

    • Completely agreed.  TBH, we have had so many great players that are in my favorite list, and I hate to narrow it down to one, but Cam is it.  Which is crazy, because you would think it would be more of the guys I grew up watching, but no.  Cam was the single most impactful player to ever out on a football uniform imo.  And like I said in an earlier post, I always felt a kinship with him in a lot of ways…  the way he was treated and judged for the off the field stuff in Florida and having to overcome all of that and fight show at back.  And although I am not a black man, I have always been welcomed by and accepted more by minorities, and thus, I know what it’s like to be judged by appearances rather than the content of your character and who you actually are.  I know what it’s like to be stereotyped and written off or mistreated for your mistakes.  I know what it’s like to be held to a different standard while your peers don’t have to meet that same standard.  So I always related to that.  And the way he came in and just electrified the whole franchise, man…  I still think about it often how much it sucks that because of how talented he was, our staff out so much on him and that ultimately cut his career short.  You’re right, there will never be another Cam…  I think Josh Allen is the closest thing we will see for a long time, but Allen is not the running threat Cam was.  Cam could run you over or around you.  That was THE absolute funnest time to watch our team ever.
    • It definitely needs more specificity than is baked in now.
    • The weirdest encounter I had with a pro athlete was waiting in line at security at Mile High Stadium when I used to get the company suite tickets almost every week because I was the only employee based in Colorado. There's a small checkpoint accessing the suites that virtually no one knows about that you can usually squirt right through. I was standing there and looked over my shoulder and there stands John fuging Elway waiting in line behind me.  This was during the The Golden Calf of Bristol season right before he became GM. I just said "They make YOU go through security?" He's like "Yeah, ain't that a bitch. I literally have a statue out front and I gotta go through security like everybody else." I've heard mixed things about him but he was super nice and down to earth with me that day.
