Rivera will be the best coach we have had to date

Rivera is a winner, Chud is a winner, Cam is a winner, Smitty is a winner, its a matter of time before this team starts winning.

Lets face it, most these players are not Rivera's, he never got a full offseason with them, and if they don't play better he has no problem cutting some of them.

If you watch the interview he calls out Munnerlyn, and Martin. When asked if Safety is a position he will have to address in the offseason he says yes.

Steve Young says when he played for the 49ers he always had a healthy fear that if he and his fellow teammates didn't play well they were all going to be cut. Rivera is instilling this fear. If guys don't play well or step up and make plays, if they are not winners, they won't stick around.

How many players have been upgraded from the practice squad and shown immediate promise? How many bright spots were added in free agency?

Has our offense ever looked so explosive or dynamic? Was our defense ever as aggressive under Fox?

Chico accepted the head coaching job of the team with the worst record in football with only half an offseason before actual games were started playing and we have been competitive. Give him so more time and this team, and the Panthers are going to start winning.

if they're winners, why are we losing?!?!

Rivera accepted the head coaching job of the team with the worst record in football with only half of a regular offseason to start working with the team.

It's his first head coaching job ever. He is going to suffer a little adversity under those circumstances maybe?

So is a winner only someone who wins without adversity...?

I dunno, I haven't been impressed by our coaching staff (edit: I lied, I think Chud & Shula have done a good job) at all this season, but I'm giving them a pass because of the injuries. Still I don't understand the claims that this will be the best coach we've ever had or that he is just a winner or whatever because I basically see no evidence of either of those things yet.

How exactly are Rivera and Chud winners?

As a player - Bears won

As a DC - his D excelled and his teams won

------

As a OC in college or the pro his offenses overall have ranked near the top. Only 1 year can you claim otherwise

    • I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.
    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
