Sometimes things really suck a whole lot

And there is nothing that can be done about it.

My 1st cousin was pregnant with twins. One of the twins died when she was 6 months pregnant. She carried the other twin and had to be placed on complete bed rest in the hospital for the last 3 months of her pregnancy. She went into labor and had the baby 1 month premature. The baby's lungs weren't fully developed when he was born, I heard this is a common thing with premature babies. He remained in the hospital for 2 months for them to do what they do with babies in his condition. She finally got to take him home under the orders that she keep him on oxygen 24/7. During the month she had him a home he had to be rushed back to the hospital several times because he stopped breathing. He had to be rushed to the hospital on this past Friday because he stopped breathing once again. But this time his condition was much worse than before. His condition continued to decline and they had to place him in an induced coma. They gave him all kinds of medicine & even a blood transfusion, but nothing worked. What he really needed was a lung transplant but there hasn't been a match for him.

I got a call this morning from my aunt, she said they ran all the tests they could run and informed my cousin that all his organs had shut down and he was brain dead. They needed her to make a decision. She decided to have the pastor come and baptize him and he would be pulled off the breathing machine at 10 am.

Poor little guy fought the good fight for 3 months. He has finished the race. I guess some things just aren't meant to be.

Please keep our family in your thoughts & prayers.

I'm truly amazed at how her attitude has been with everything she's been through. I just don't think I could be as strong as she has been. I'm at a loss for words too. I don't think anything can be said for this kind of thing. I didn't post this on Facebook out of respect for my family and I don't think people should post this kind of thing on FB anyway. I almost didn't post it here but I felt like the more people I could get to pray for her the better off she will be.

Praying for the family.

My wife and I lost twin girls at 24 weeks. One stillborn and the 2nd girl died about 5 minutes after birth. It's a horrifying ordeal in that delivery room and you have all the hope in the world, but sometimes it's just not in our hands.

Don't forget the dad...he sometimes is.

    • I miss many of the OGs like @ladypanther Zob had a bad off week and came in here to do some mopping and a couple of the 10 year 15k post account he just banned over a silly disagreement, just odd behavior from Zob. A Pessimal deal happened with Lady and others. I tired to find a new forum and could not get around the signing up part...same for discord. Its not perfect here by any means, but I still feel welcomed here for the most part and this place does have the most freedom. I hate how the right vs left BS nearly cooked this place, I still believe in removing the litterbox, toxic as hell and lollolols @ anyone coming into a team forum to talk about pointless politics of the uni party turds.  @Bear Hands you saved this place with your activity. It helped offset the lost of OGs and the knowledgeable that leftd.    It would help for new members and I do get the spammers deals, just got to mod them away and hope opening the door brings in fresh blood.
    • Young went to bama and Brissett went to nc state.
    • That seems about right. No higher than that for a bottom third qb with two years left, including one expensive year. He played well enough last year to show he is startable. It depends on whether other teams thought he has any upside left and whether he's been hindered by coaching and surrounding cast. I think most teams would answer no, but if they thought he could step it up just a little I could see trading a fourth or fifth for a bridge guy/top tier backup.
