All this Senn Talk...

Y'all wouldn't even notice his play if he didn't get a pick last game...

He's not the free agent messiah we're all praying for. No, he's not starter quality, he's just a special teamer that got a pick. He is downright anemic in pass coverage and he doesn't "find" the ball, he just accidentally runs into it. You're all blowing him outta proportion or just blowing him in general. He would be a backup special teamer on other team's special teams. I know there isn't a lot of news this week, but hyping up an average player so you can have something to fap to in the offseason is just sad. I don't know what's more pathetic, people putting a special teamer in their LB depth chart for next season or people thinking this guy will last on our roster for more than another season.

Discuss.

1. Has a high motor, very high

2. Look at his stats he is constantly improving which equates to some work ethic

3. We need LBS, even backups

I totally agree with you though, a lot of plays kind of find their way to him BUT no need to downplay his upsides and he can improve, maybe a little noticing isn't so bad and can be used for motivation for the guy. He is a bit undersized but seems like a high motored big hitter.

Guess you forgot the forced fumble on Houston's 2nd play that led to our 1st TD.

Not saying he is an all-pro, but he is a definite upgrade over Jason Williams, Thomas Williams, Omar Gaither, etc.

I suppose Anderson's pick was lucky as well, so let's go ahead and replace him too.

I noticed Senn before the pick. He was making some big tackles that helped stopped drives. He had the most tackles(12) last game and was very active.

I agree that he may not be a starter but if he continues playing well he deserves a place on the roster at least.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
