I think RGIII will be a solid QB but he won't come close to Cam, i mean not even within a light years reach. Cam did what he did in a conference that features as close to NFL level talent that the college ranks allows. He put up incredible numbers against the best defenses in the world(within the college ranks) and he did it with ONE year of starting experience. There's truly no real comparison between Cam Newton and RGIII

RGIII is black and athletic, those are the ONLY similarities one should toss around between him and Cam Newton.

Wrong...There are those who claim RGIII is just as confident. The media pick and choose who they want to paint in a negative way, especially if that person is a threat to their "choosen." RGIII isn't a threat to their "ALL AMERICAN QB." They have already convinced folks that Luck is the best of the best and he's not even mentioned in the same breathe with RGIII the way Blaine was constantly mention in the same breathe with Cam.

Also,they have already played every black stereotypical card on Cam under the guise of "we really don't know who he is" mindset. They will not go down that road with RGIII. They may get him with his height and so called accuracy issues.

Also I think people everywhere grossly estimated just how bad the kid wants to win and what he will do to improve himself so he can help his team get to the top of the mountain

Cam forced evaluators to accept a fact that they tend not to want to accept. Black athletic quarterbacks can play football and might even bring a new look to the position of quarterback. It's a sad reality

What is so sad is, now that it's clear The Golden Calf of Bristol will always be a run first QB, it's cool to be a run first QB...Yet when it was associated with Cam, it was very negative. And to be honest, Cam was never a run first QB but there were/are those who were/are quick to believe it simply because they see a black QB...SMDH

You keep believing they were wrong about Cam. They had the same stats and information on Cam that you and I did. They knew what they were doing.

I personally felt that the talents of Jake, Cam, Mallett, Dalton, and Ponder were underplayed to help make the QB they wanted to push look just as good as those QBs.

I'm very leary about the whole "Luck campaign" they are now pushing because of how they treated those QBs during the draft. Every player should have to prove themselves in the NFL. It's unfair that we're made to believe this one is better than that one based on nothing more than the so called experts' spin.

I didn't watch a ton of college ball this year, and only maybe a Quarter of Baylor, so I don't know much about RG3 other than highlights on Youtube/ESPN, but from the looks of it he has the same skill set of...Camron Newton. How...in the hell is it possible for Cam to basically go on trail last year, but everybody is moist over basically the same guy the very next year..

Purely coming out of college RG III is better. not bigger, not faster, but a better QB. The kid has the most accurate and damn sexy deep ball in years coming out. The kid can throw the ball better, read defenses better and lead a more complex offense better than Cam did coming out. Sorry but that is just fact.

How will RG III do? Don't know he may be a huge bust, but I can see why many love him coming out vs when Cam did. Oh and the kid kept his nose clean.

Please, the media knew exactly what they were doing to Cam. He was a treat to Blaine, and they knew Blaine was not better than him. What better way to bring down Cam's image but to play the usual stereotypical stunts. Everyone knows when all else fails, turning to the usual, "you know he ain't as good as" game will never fail because there are people in this society that will always beleive that their worst is still much better than folks like Cam.

All the VY and Jamrcus comparison was not by accident. Notice RG III isn't even being compared to them.
