Behind the scenes with Cam Newton

Reading some of those postings is quite funny. It's amazing how much people want this kid to fail. There are those who simply don't like to see a black QB. Everything Cam does seems to bother them....SMH

They don't have to come out of their face and say it, because it's not the politically correct thing to do but the tone of their postings speaks way louder than them actually just saying it.

I read the article last night but didn't see the video until today...pretty cool. Really does a great job of showing his overwhelming, confident, room-filling personality.

Honestly, when I look back a videos of Smitty and Deion Sanders, I see Cam. They were/are confident talkers but they also back up their talk with hardwork and deliverance.

"I know I have the talent to change this game, and I don't see no ceiling,'' Newton said. "So I'm not knocking on the door, like tap-tap-tap. I'm gonna kick that door in, like SWAT."

like SWAT!... most people are meek, maybe not day to day, but in what they "know" they can't accomplish.. most can't understand this and are skurred to see someone so confident..

John Fox is a meek individual.. he coaches scared. And for that reason, Cam Newton would never have been on this team. Never drafted. Their philosophies are night and day..

Yep Rivera and Cam are a great fit, both are pretty blunt and straightforward, Cam plays to win and Rivera coaches to win.

    • At this point, I think Chubba is the odd man out. I hate that, but I think Dowdle gives us more production and big play ability.  But there is still a lot of football to play.  I think it depends on how much Dowdle will want too.
    • I’ve been anti-trade when it comes to Melo, but the way this season has started, it may be time.  I love his game and he’s a cool dude, but I’m starting to think, if he’s your best player, you’re never going to win anything of significance.  Too many brain farts, too many injuries, and ultimately for as fun and entertaining as he is to watch - his game is indeed a thing of beauty - it just doesn’t translate to wins.  And that’s IF he even plays.  I think it’s time to cash out and maximize the return.  I love Melo, but I think it’s pretty clear what the ceiling is for a team where he is the best player.
    • Every NFL team, college program, hell even HS has numerous "what ifs" that got derailed by injury. It's a brutal sport and half the battle is just getting lucky enough to stay healthy. Doesn't matter how durable you are and how well you take care of your body everyone is one weird hit or awkward twist away from a career derailing injury.
