What I saw was a very talented QB...with a maturity problem, could he be the next Vince Young...not saying he will be but he folded grabbed his ball and went home,,,5'10 Brees isn't gonna do that.......plus he apparently doesn't like getting hit. He is typical athlete coddled since birth.....discuss ?

I don't know if you're trying to troll or not. But if you're up for serious discussion, here's my opinion.

He loves the game and sometimes he lets emotions get the better of him. But I've seen him take vicious hits and gets up smiling and laughing because he loves the game so much. He's no where near the lower character level end of Vince Young. Why you think that, I have no idea. Cam Newton is poised for greatness and has worked very hard to achieve the success that he has.

One disturbing thing I heard today, was that Cam sometimes ignores and walks past coach Shula when he's frustrated.

I don't know if that's true or not, but if that's the case....Rivera needs to put a boot in dat ass and get that poo straightened out. I wouldn't be putting up with that, I don't care how good he is.

Oh yes, another thing we need to keep this..hmmmmm...QB under check with.

I'm sorry, I find posting like this very..how should I say it...discriminating. I wonder if it was Luck, you would want the coach to "put his foot up" Luck's ass for being tight that his team is losing...WTF

Well yeah if Luck is blowing off his coaches, I expect them to go boot camp on him. But I'm not sure how Luck got into the conversation. :confused:

Getting blown out isn't fun period, I expect that. I hate they always try to zone in on it like fugin bitches. But considering this is the last game, I hope Cam would focus on the positives and be eager to come back next year. What he's going to do this offseason.

      I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.

      Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.

      Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
