I don't think they are moving up ever again. We were riding one hell of a bubble.

Ever is a long time. It will be a long time, and perhaps I won't see it in my lifetime, but values will go up again eventually. New housing starts are very low right now, and at some point in time there will be a housing shortage. Maybe my son will make some money off my house when he sells it after I am gone. :)

hope you have had stable employment, no student loans, good credit, and 20% put back for a downpayment.

yes, yes, yes, and not sure. I'm getting married in a year and me and my fiancé pay for the whole thing ourselves. So its all depends on how much our wedding will cost.

We really coulda used the money my wife's folks dumped in to that wedding.

The pictures are nice, it was great, but since my wife was not the fairy tale type that was dreaming about her wedding day since she saw Cinderella, we begged for the dough instead.

No dice.

Since Arsen has to pay the freight, screw it man. Elope. Down payment well on it's way.

go to the courthouse..have a nice but not overly expensive reception...use allllll that money saved and put it into a house...

I agree with hawk and epi....it's one day...ONE.. ppl spend way too much on that sh*t and realistically..do you really need 1/2 that crap that you bought and paid for???

Go for something you're going to be living in for years and years to come!

I just signed a mortgage at 3.75%. I plan to pay it off as early as possible. I can afford the place by myself, but I'm going to have two roommates, so the money from one of them is going into my bank account and the other is getting added to the minimum payment so I can get this thing paid off in 15 years or less.
