Orange Bowl Players

Some players I wouldn't mind us taking in the right round:

Bruce Irvin - I think he could be a solid 2nd rounder. He'd add a pass rush threat from the OLB position.

Tavon Austin - Super versatile and an upgrade over anyone we've had in a long time as far as the return game is concerned. Could probably be had in the 4th-5th round. Maybe the best part about him is that in an interview last year he compared himself to Steve Smith...

Brandon Thompson - Big, physical DT that looks like he can do it all. He plays for a bad defense but looks has good size and speed. Some think he could be a 1st round pick. IDT he is THAT good and if it was between him and say a pass rusher at LB like Irvin I'd probably rather have the LB but still looks to be a nice future pro.

Dwayne Allen is the best TE in the country but will be a 1st rounder and we aren't going that direction.

Out of all these players Irvin in the 2nd would be the way I'd go if given the choice. Austin as a value pick later on would also be nice assuming we don't address WR before that.

    • Extrapolate that with every QB for that matter. I guarantee you there's quite a bit of missed opportunities and yards left on the field for everyone. Many NFL QBs deal with WRs not putting in A+ effort, subpar o-line play and other deficiencies. The great ones are able to rise above these issues and create opportunities for plays. Guys like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes can both play in and out of structure, as well as find ways to get yards when things break down and mask mistakes by throwing guys open, creating opportunities from nothing, etc. Bryce Young has only shown he's able to make things happen when the rest of the team picks up his slack. Very rarely does he create those opportunities himself. When this is a consistent pattern year after year with Bryce where he shows up lackluster, it's a concern. This is year three and he should be elevating the team as a first overall pick this franchise traded up for.  He was far from elevating anyone against JAX. In fact, he needed others to elevate and create for him. Excuses may be fine for a rookie, but this is year three for the first overall pick. Not looking good so far.
    • I think the worst issue is coaching. Countless bad snaps, XL not getting his feet in or trying on runs plays, our centre being down field when he didn't need to be. All seem to be from poor coaching for me. I believe Canales is to soft to rip the players a new one when the fug up. Plus I honestly believe that Canales is slow getting his plays in giving Bryce less time to diagnose and adjust to the defence. Don't worry I could of head butted Bryce for that fumble and the 4th down throw aways but the other plays are explainable to me
    • No We have been making excuses for him for 3 years, and we have gave him a hundred chances  Bryce is a bust, and we need to cut him now and stop wasting everyone's time
