Or interested in working from home?

Just wondering, I know being an "employee" isn't the funnest thing. Also I realize some people need the "security"

So what is it? Employed, self employed, business owner, or investor?

I like to think of my self as a business minded, out side of the box type guy. And you all?

I've worked from home a couple of years and its not as great as it sounds. I was able to get plenty accomplished but getting in touch with the company you work for and getting any office assistance is impossible. It's like the office staff resents you for being able to work from home and therefore have a sh*tty attitude towards you.

Also stay away from "work from home" job opportunities just in case you don't know any better.

I think Hawk works from home and is successful so he must own his own business or have a sweet gig. Ask his opinion.

I work from home on Mondays because my commute is murder on Monday mornings and I'm generally doing spreadsheets, invoice approvals and contract terms which I can just do through our company VPN. I DEFINITELY agree with the getting more done in the office thing though. I had to remove an IT buddy I work with from my PSN though because he'd always see my last login and ask why I got to play Battlefield 3 on Mondays. Hee Hee Hee...

I worked form home a lot a lot as a Construction Project Manager but I also traveled all over the damn place too. I covered 2 states for a national drug store chain ( NC&SC). That working from home is a double edged sword-I always found my self answering emails and stuff after midnight, not to mention the damn pager and phone. I actually worked harder at home.

It is all a matter of self discipline. I used to commute over two hours each way at one job for four years. Now I commute fifty feet to get to my office. I am a self-employed consultant. Been doing it for 15 years. I miss office camaraderie but not the office politics. I get more done in one day in my own home office than I did in a week in a corporate environment.

When I was a real estate broker, I only had to go into the office for Monday Morning sales meeting. Of if I was meeting with a client. Otherwise I could do everything from home or my car. But you have to be really disciplined to do that.

Now that I'm retired, I do a lot of work from home, selling and buying on ebay. However, I'm looking seriously at opening a business this spring. (I have been looking for space for the past month.)

If you do not need absolute privacy for your business, you should check out loosecubes.com

Loose Cubes is a directory for shared office space that is really cheap. You will share space with other start up companies though. Options start with as little as a desk up to a private office room. Prices usually start at $100ish a month for a desk to 700ish for an office.

There are two in Charlotte (if you are in the Charlotte area). One in Uptown, one in Southend.

    • Ehlers needs to sit. Definitely can't lose him to a meaningless game.
    • Bet didn't hit because the referee missed 3 clear corner kicks. I had a 5k parlay that would have been alive tomorrow if he didn't miss those calls as well. Super annoying
    • I don't think it's at all a given that we have players who are good at driving the basket. I guess that depends on your definition. Bridges is 43rd in attempts in the paint Miller is 64th and LaMelo is 66th. We all love to see the lob threat but it's largely miniscule at this point in time. There's gotta be a solution here if LaMelo is to be the centerpiece because this is simply not sustainable if we want to continue to ascend. If he can't drive to the basket then that means we need to add another player to the core who consistently can. That would require moving someone like Miles Bridges. And that's certainly not going to be popular with LaMelo but something has to give here for what we are investing and we need to maximize guys like Miller and Knueppel on rookie deals while we still can. The three chucking is fine when it's working where the issue comes into play is there are no adjustments when it isn't and we just go into a shell and begin to look like the Hornets of yesteryear. That's why the offensive evolution of all involved is critical to us taking the next step. Getting to the play in is nice but we should have our sights set much higher. Right now though they need to take care of business against the Heat. All I ask is that they at least beat those fools. I cannot stand the Heat.
