go to his site often but he had Gabbert ranked higher(a lot higher) than Newton last year.

to be fair a lot of people did. Helps when newton went to a better situation than Gabbert also. Can you name 4 other starters on that offense?

yes i can.those people also had them closer in their rankings compared to wes. his first qb was Ponder actually with Cam being his third.

and Greg Jones, Taylor Price, Eben, Will Rackley, Zach Miller, Jarrett Dillard, and MSW of the top of my head not mention the guys listed above.

and no one on that offense is worth anything outside of MJD.. Granted Gabbert looks terrified in the pocket he still is part of a bad situation. A. The lock out. B. His offensive weapons are about as dangerous and a water gun fight. C. Now hes going through a coaching change. He does show promise in some games though he makes great passes and has good zip and decent location just needs work.

Some of his stuff makes no sense, for example check out where Blackmon, Floyd and Jeffrey are on his rankings and then on his mock.

His mock also has Richardson going 16th which I think is much more realistic than 4th

    • BPA in draft all the way. Address your biggest needs in free agency.
    • Exactly.  You let him play out next season and continue to develop Thorton.  Jackson’s earned his next contract, but his age and the risk of tying up such a large portion of the payroll at one position leads me to believe that we’ll let him walk. In all likelihood, we’ll draft another CB, or two, and bring in some journeymen to fill the roster void, between now and the start of the 2027 season.  That’ll create more balance financially across the roster enabling us to invest in other areas.
    • As far as the NFCS … I think this division will be hotly contested the next couple of years.   I am tending to pay more respect to both Atlanta and the Saints n terms of how strong they will be moving forward, than not.    I am mixed on Ryan but think they have a decent roster to start with. I don’t think he blundered hiring Stefanski. And that offense can be dangerous with a QB. Plus, defense is arrow up. No 1st round pick, WB issues will dull their effectiveness. Question is, to what degree?   I think Moore is going to be a good HC and can overcome tape that people have on Shough. They need a lot but they were playing with people. Just the way you want to see all the way to the end.    Not sure about Tampa they have Mayfield but I don’t think they can maintain their success and Bowles is not going to last much longer. They have to go through all that. Gonna be tough once it starts. Might already have started.    For us I feel pretty good about Morgan. But less so about our offense, we have some short term RB and OL issues and those things are critical given what we are working with at QB.  Overall, mixed. Like a lot of what I see but some major question marks remain.
