Denver @ Carolina next year?

Happy Panther

Sports radio on Thursday afternoon said that the NFL had changed the Denver and Raiders games to home games for us next year.

I can't find any mention of this on the internet.

That would be a perfect primetime game.

Search is broken so I don't see if this was addressed already

Watching the train wreck that The Golden Calf of Bristol has become, and watching the disaster that Brantley has been, I can't see how Cam was backing up either of these dudes.

Either that Blinn College trip was the best thing that ever happened to Cam's development, or there was some serious favoritism at UF.

If The Golden Calf of Bristol doesn't start that game th storyline can easily be Fox coming back to Carolina...although he still lives in Glen Eagles :)

I don't think many people care about a former coach who never won a super bowl coming back to Carolina. That isn't of national interest. It's all about the players.

It just happened that The Golden Calf of Bristol was there a year ahead of him. He was a great competitor and had great talent around him that made him look better than he was. He was the perfect fit. He was glue that kept the talents of Harvin, Ingram, Dunlap, Spikes, Cunningham, Jenkins, Haden etc. together.

While at UF, you saw glimpses of Cam but not enough to get the nod over The Golden Calf of Bristol. Newton was just smart and left to get playing time. It had noting to do with favoritism or talent. Cam would have succeeded at UF just couldn't get around The Golden Calf of Bristol. He very well could have beat out Brantley.

Uh, The Golden Calf of Bristol was one of the greatest college players of all time. It was hardly a train wreck at Florida.

Can't wait to see Cam vs Quinn on primetime

that would not get primetime and if that's the QB matchup it MUST be flexed. i personally think Clausen is better than Quinn!!!

it wouldnt be much of a storyline though because Fox isnt the media guy that The Golden Calf of Bristol and Newton are, if it's The Golden Calf of Bristol and Newton, it's a matchup of two dual threat QBs who were at Florida.

FIRST off, i dont think The Golden Calf of Bristol is the train wreck, ALOT of The Golden Calf of Bristol's issues is helped by Fox's conservative approach, but how did Cam backup The Golden Calf of Bristol and Brantley you ask!!! simple (for The Golden Calf of Bristol). At Florida, The Golden Calf of Bristol started one full season and was a highly used backup for one, experience is why he started over Cam, plus why fix something if it isnt broken??? you dont, so The Golden Calf of Bristol started!! As for Brantley, i cant answer that one, i personally think Brantley was stupid going there, the spread is NOT his style of offense.

yep and that's one reason why i say not to quit on The Golden Calf of Bristol if i were Denver, i think if he has a WR or two that can catch consistantly, that he could improve and i think LaMichael James would be HUGE for The Golden Calf of Bristol. and you are ight, that's why Cam backed up The Golden Calf of Bristol, i fully believe that had he stayed, that he would've beat out Brantley in his senior year, taken the starting job and won a Heisman and National title, but he didnt want to wait and i agree with that move, it was a wise move, he wanted to play, nothing wrong with that.

    • Bryce has been playing the best ball of his career the last three games IMO. He wasn't the reason we dropped the game in NOLA. Seattle's defense will be his toughest challenge yet this season
    • I'll be at the game Sunday and up until last year I had a perfect attendance record. Now however I have seen us lose to the Chiefs (last year) and the Bills (this year). So we can no longer rely solely on my ability to pound overpriced beers to propel us to a win.
    • I haven't been able to watch Seattle on a dedicated basis but the Seahawks are a much better team by the all accounts: eye test, record and DVOA. Defensively they are sick. Best DVOA in the league first in rushing and second in passing. Offensively their passing game has been on fire this year led by JSN I can easily see this being like the Buffalo game where things just get out of hand for us early, that being said this league really is week to week and Seattle does have the disadvantage of traveling cross country for an early game.  If and big if, the Panthers are able to effectively run the ball and limit the amount of time Seattle's offense has to generate explosive plays we have a path to winning this game.  Seattle fans won't be happy to hear this but bad Darnold is always lurking in the background. He is truly an enigma to root for bc he will have an incredible throw that only a few people can make but then will turn around and throw the most bone headed pick of all time.  I think ultimately we drop this one as ultimately it's human nature to be looking forward to that week 18 game. But man how special would it be to be leaving the stadium on Sunday with a win and a miracle dolphins upset
