Commissioner Roger Goodell told ESPN's Mike and Mike that, after what he saw last Sunday, the NFL will consider eliminating the Pro Bowl.

The NFL is too violent of a sport to bring together the greatest players in the game and have them play seriously in a game that determines something important for the Super Bowl, with players involved who aren't even in the Super Bowl to begin with (no incentive to care).

The winners get the winners share, the losers have to pick up the winners expense tab for the week out of their share of the money which is half as much to begin with. Paying for someone else is worse than not getting any money.

They should make the pro bowl have a purpose just like mlb does. The winning conference gets home field advantage. I guess it would determine who gets to pick to kick or field first in superbowl for winning conference. Its wouldnt be as bic of a prize as in baseball, but the mlb allstar games have been once better sence they started it.

Difference is that the MLB All-Star Game is played mid-season. Most teams are still theoretically in the playoff hunt at that time.

The Pro Bowl is post-season. The players on the team are not in the Super Bowl. They still wouldn't give a poo.
