Re-watched Stephen King's IT today

i watched it though and was scared until the end. and then none of it was scary at all.

What is it with some Stephen King movies. IT scared the heck out of you then all of a sudden it's a ginormous spider doing it all. (btw...I can't stand beheaded heads...so the fridge scene freaks me out)

Tommyknockers draws you in and find out it's freaking aliens.

It's like he gets to a point to where we are so wrapped up in the story he says "screw it...I need to end this sometime to get paid" throws a dart at a dartboard and gets...aliens...or giant insect...or some other lame ending.

He jumps around when he writes. I think he mixes his stories up, or like you said "f*ck it, aliens!" "next."

Never understood the clown thing. It morphed into whatever you were afraid of, so why did it need the clown persona? Two things/scenes really scared me, especially in the book...

1. The voices coming from the drain of other kids that It had already claimed.

2. The girl going over to the woman's house, and the woman slowly turning into a witch.

I saw The Rocky Horror Picture Show before I saw IT.

Loved the book, which in turn, makes the movie seem "blah".

IT is one of my favorite horror films. It's the all time #1 play on a childs fears. But as mentioned the Spider in the film ruins it. Tim Curry is amazing though. The book is rather good and yes the gang bang is rather odd but after reading 500 pages in I was ready for some crazy poo.

The book is really interesting and goes much more into the origins of IT.

How coincidental: just this morning, my co-worker was saying that her parents made her watch "It" at the age of seven during a family movie night. I didn't see this thread until now.

I haven't seen the movie, but I'd like to -- and I'd like to read the book as well.
