annoying things people put in their professional email signatures

- Every possible meaningless title they have, AKA a barrage of abbreviations that most people could never decipher.

- That annoying wingding and the "please consider the environment before printing this message". I print out emails that say this 5 times each.

- "God bless our troops" or some religious message.

What are yours?

the persons email address, seriously???

Sometimes in an outlook email chain, that header information will get lost and only the person's name will remain. So if somebody forwards you an email and says "forward person x this file", sometimes only the person's name is there, and you'd have to ask somebody further down in the chain for the address.

I don't do it, but it could be useful for that reason.

once a year before Christmas I have one guy that used to work in a department I support, but now does something else entirely, send a Christmas email thats probably not work friendly, it's almost as if he's daring someone to complain to HR so he can be all sanctimonious and whiny about it. Whenever I used to have to stop by his office it was filled with fluffy God posters and his desk had all the pseudo Chick Tract type stuff laid out in front of you.

Anyways my emails come with on call numbers, a link to my support team with a built in header...but nothing personal because thats pretty inconsiderate to me.

    • Basically agree.  He is the one of that bunch that offers upgraded pass catching along with he is supposed to be kind of special.   Then you have the OL and the ideas that if they perform you can have JAG backs and still do well. So okay we could be fine.  But Brooks is important and to me that receiving element sets him apart.  So there sure is something riding on him.     What strikes me as incongruent is people over in Atlanta or those that follow them look at Penix with a third surgery and act like it is no big deal.      And we are on pins and needles over Brooks.  Either they should worry a lot more or we should worry a lot less.
    • I usually go a game or two optimist over the consensus here but this is too early for me to say. I need to see some players on the field.  I am not feeling real optimistic though.
    • Okay as a ‘take CJ’ fan I actually don’t obsess over CJ and Houston, contrary to the narrative.  But I thought I picked up some noise that his OL left a lot to be desired.    Not a single Beyce supporter would judge him harshly if he had a crappy OL. We all know that.    So be fair about it.  A QB needs to be protected.  Especially a guy that gets to his spot and wants to finish the play from there. Which CJ is.
