Supply And Demand

We seem to be stockpiling RB's like they are gold bullion or something. Who is in desperate need of a back?

Cleveland Hillis gone

Cincy Benson gone

Denver McGahee is troubled

Pitts Mendenhall is finished

T Bay No matter how desperate, we will not trade with them

Add Pats to the list of teams that also need a "good" back

Those are just 5 and Richardson will land at one of those spots.

I think Denver is key.

They do not have time for rebuilding. They have a 3-4 year window, so I think their second rounder would be used in a trade for a proven back. Again, they have to hit homeruns with each pick. PFT is already talking about them getting Wallace with their first pick. Every guy they get has to be able to do the job, they have a predetermined window.

i don't think any trade is going to be made any time soon nor should it be.

if we want to trade one of them away, it should be in mid season next year when a team is really desperate and more willing to be raped...you know, when demand is at it's peak. right now, though, more effort should be put into how to turn the backfield we have right now into a nightmare for DCs.

No money for Wharton, no money for Schwartz. Otah = ??

Guess we will have a lot of faith in the OLine for this shiny new stable of backs.

I don't think we wanted to sign Schwartz back and Wharton wasn't worth what we were paying him. I would feel better if we added a couple more guys though. Maybe trade down and get Decastro if things break a certain way.

i think we wanted both guys back, but at a much cheaper rate.

we'll find the right guys. i hope that we can use the same strategy that we used a few years ago bringing in a bunch of low risk guys and let them fight it out in TC.

of course we should take advantage of the depth and talent at OG in the draft, but hopefully we can get a 3rd round pick or use the 4th rounder on a guy that slipped through the cracks. it's going to happen.

agreed. there will be a deal worked out between DW and JS so both stay here. A deal that works out for all and will probably blow everybody's minds. Rivera is making the offense even stronger for reason and it's not to win by only 10 points.

    • We don't have to tear down Dak to appreciate what Bryce did yesterday. Dak had 0 running game. If the cowboys were better, he'd be a legit MVP candidate if he keeps playing this way.  They did it with Ceedee last year, but they do a better job of anybody we play consistently of getting their best receiver off Jaycee.  Bryce was good too. If we just catch the ball that was intercepted, we probably win by 7+, and Bryce goes over 200 yards passing.  Biggest shift the last few weeks has been play calling. I thought Canales abandoned the run game way to early at times last year. This year he really seems to be sticking with it.  I still think Chuba is better at making 4 yards when there's nothing there, but Rico is better at making 30 yards when there's 6 there. I like the direction. Hopefully we can get Moton, Sanders and Coker back and really be dangerous. Our play action game is pretty deadly right now.  Unrelated: My favorite quality about Bryce right now is his ability to see the defensive hold and throw the ball there. He EXPOSES the officials when they don't call it. That one on Tetaroia yesterday late in the game was a bad miss on their part.
    • That sacks allowed number lookin juicy!
    • This is a game the Panthers should win... just the sort of game they lose. The Panthers have a bad habit that goes back years of playing down to the competition's level only to mess around and lose the game. The Jets game should be taken very seriously! But I want to enjoy the fact that they beat the Cowboys for at least another day or so!
