2012 Road Opener?

The NFL Announced the opening game yesterday with the Cowboy's and Giants and that got me thinking about who the Panthers will open up with this year. The schedule should be released within the next 4 weeks (usually a week before the draft). It has already been pre-determined that the Panthers will open on the road due to the Democratic National Convention, so my question to you all is Who do we open with?

road opponents:

Atlanta, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Chicago, Philidelphia, Washington, Kansas City, San Diego

2011 Opening Week Notes

-last year 8 of the 16 opening week games were divisional matchups

-last year there were only two games that pitted an AFC team vs an NFC team (SD-MIN, and NYJ-Dal)

-visiting teams went 6-10 in opening weekend games (including the Panthers losing to the Cards)

-Outside of the opening game, there were three other prime time games (including two on Monday night)

Questions:

1. Who do the panthers open the season off with?

2. What time slot do they get?

I'm going to say the Panthers play at Atlanta at 1:00.

I hope they make it vs one of the NFC south team. I want to watch the other big games vs teams like redskins, chiefs, bears, eagles and chargers later on the season. I think at least one or two of those games will be prime time and theres no way we're getting to open our season sun night.

Beating the saints week 1 would be nice and getting our winning streak rollin'. Hopefully it's not the Philly, redskins, bears, or chargers game. I wanna see one of those game prime time.

    • This thread is turning into bizarro world. Most of the anti-Bryce crowd was heavily pro CJ Stroud so I am confused how that ties into any racial element.  Not saying we still don't have some of that crowd in here but it's not like the Prime Cam years where this place was rife with those types.  The anti-Bryce sentiment SEEMS to MOSTLY be rooted in his underwhelming physical stature/abilities and/or his underwhelming overall career to date. All this being amplified by the massive trade haul we gave away for him. So, technically we have missed the opportunity to draft Jaden Daniels AND passed on CJ Stroud. Fairly or not, Bryce hasn't measured up to those type of players at all.
    • Because 2 coaches have not allowed him to do it.  And in a real Hail Mary scenario the throw is  further than the clip shown and likey doesn’t allow a clean setup. You can’t go over the top.  So you have to let WRs get downfield and the technical throw is going to be further and as you have to drop back to by time and likely won’t have an ideal setup.
    • I can’t stand silent any longer.. He has s sickness.  It will defy any logic people try to bring.  He tried to deny us the freedom of having a negative opinion of a player simply by the color of our skin. Yet we have positive opinions of many black players  Love some of them   I guess they must be house *you know the word* if we like them   I bring it to this: let’s say you are black. are there black people that you don’t like? I brt there are.  But no white people are allowed to dislike them? Because they are maybe shitty people of shitty players or there is just something about them you don’t line. We have to drop this way of thinking.
