If Quinton Coples is there at the ninth pick we are taking him. I watched this team play every single game last year. Yes defensive tackle is a possibility, but from what I observed pressure on the qb was almost nonexistent. With the exception of CJ we had no real threat off the edges. I don't care who is there at 9. If Coples is there at 9. We take him period.

I think it's pretty wide open, and I'm just gonna try to sit back and trust/hope the Panthers make a good pick. There's no point in being so emphatic about what is definitely gonna happen when you have no control over it. You should learn from the "We're not taking Newton. Period." crowd last year that it doesn't work out well.

I think Ingram could be ahead of Coples by the end of April, but you could be right.

    • KP is not a straight up carbon copy but they look awful close to me.  T
    • You are right. At the same time I don’t think people are watching games going come on Bryce put it on the ground or sail it OB or whatever. They just have trouble seeing him turning his 3 or four or five top games of 2025 into the weekly standard outing. Which you expect for the kind of money he will ask for (speaking for myself anyway).
    • In terms of comparing Pickett and Young's arm talent it's basically a push at best. Pickett is sitting at 6.2 yards per pass attempt for his career while Bryce sits at 6.0 Last season Bryce was 6.3 in yards per pass attempt. Only Justin Fields Spencer Rattler (both 6.2) Kyler Murray (6.0) 41 year old Joe Flacco (6.0) 44 year old Phillip Rivers (5.9) rookie Cam Ward (5.9) and Tyrod Taylor (5.8) had less pass yards per attempt than Bryce Young in his third season as a starter. Folks going around acting as if it is beyond the pale to say Pickett might have a better arm than Young are living in an alternate reality. You can choose to not believe your own eyes after 46 games but everyone else will acknowledge reality and move forward accordingly.
