Miami Trading Up?

stirs

Recommended Posts

Listened to a guy last night saying that to get Tannehill(stock rising), you need to speak with Minnesota. I assume he is thinking "get ahead of Cleveland".

If, Miami switched with Minny and picked Tannehill, that could cause a lot of movement in the top ten.

What would Cleveland do at the point? They do not need Kalil.

Kilil could never make it past St Louis at 6, so would Buffalo move up to 5 in a trade with Tampa to take Kalil. Tampa could still get Richardson at 10.

Many possibilities if Miami jumps to 3.

That person was Jim Irsay

“Tannehill is a hidden gem in this draft,a quiet secret who was always sneaking up to #3..you want him,you better talk to Zigi The Biggie!”

The Panthers will still be in a tough position. If we would have landed that 8 or 9 overall pick we would have a great shot at landing a very good player that can help us now in many ways. If Tannehill was to land at 3 with Miami this how I see the rest of the draft going.

1. Colts- Andrew Luck

2. Redskins- RG3

3. Miami- Ryan Tannheill

4. Browns- Trent Richardson

5. Tampa Bay- Morris Claiborne

6. Rams- Matt Kalil

7. Jaguars- Melvin Ingram

8. Vikings- Riley Rieff

9. Carolina- Justin Blackmon

10. Bills- Johnthan Martin

In this situation the only player I could see us land is Justin Blackmon. I just don't see Morris Claiborne falling to #9 anymore. You either take Blackmon or the best defensive player on the board. In my opinion the best defensive player would probable will be Quinton Coples. The issue with this is I don't like or trust Coples at all. I don't think he will be very good.

I really like Luke Kuechly. I just feel you can't depend on Thomas Davis. If I'm the Panthers and we are in a position where we can't get a good player without reaching then I would trade down and try to get Kuechly. The guy is a stud hands down. Very Smart and could be a monster at WLB. If we put Kuechly there he would be a great addition to help in pass coverage and do what he do best which is stop the run.

    • Completion percentage depends on the offense and type of QB.  So no I don't care about a raw comparison lol. If you don't know what I mean by that I don't know what to tell you. As to Baker, this is the second time you've ignored me and claimed I didn't say something when I did. I'm going to just stop r spending to that crap soon but on the possibility you are just missing these things in good faith - "Baker Mayfield is 11th in QBR, 14th in yards despite the TON of injuries that offense has had, 10th in QB rushing yards, 12th in TDs (and above the average in TD% lol), 25th in INTs (league average would be something like 16th). So yes, he's quite a bit ahead of the average in many categories." Rushing yards by a QB DO matter. You'd think Panthers fans would know that.  Some of Bryce's best plays have come when he uses his legs too, and some of that IS yards on the ground. And the reality is that Tampa has had crazy injury issues and if you look at Bakers career he is unquestionably more successful than Bryce and above average at that. This year his top 3 WRs have all missed considerable time and whose best player on offense hasn't played almost all year...
    • Look at the chart. if you are claiming his numbers prove he not  an NFL caliber QB, than neither is Bo Nix, Trevor Lawrence, Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Michael Penix, CJ Stroud, Baker Mayfield and Mahommes. They are all below average and within 2 points of Youngs' numbers.
    • Could be worse. Captain Clempsun is sub 60% completion
