Panthers Considering Trading Back To The Jets?

Conventional wisdom is that GIlmore may likely be gone by the 16th pick and Worthy won't be there at 40, and Randle is projected in the 30- 40 range. Likely none of the players will be there at those spots if we trade down. Hence the issue with trading down....

Gilmore should be there with the 16th pick, if not him, Dre. Then you're probably right about Worthy, we may could go Thompson there instead. Then Randle, Alshon, or atleast Chris Givens should be there with the 48th pick.

I had commented on my belief that this trade could happen a few weeks ago and it's been suggested on Rotoworld as well.

For it to happen, this would be the events that'd allow it to transpire:

1. Luck

2. RG3

3. Kalil

4. Richardson

5. Claiborne

6. Blackmon

7. JAGUARS CANNOT TAKE INGRAM

8. Tannehill

9. PANTHERS DO NOT WANT INGRAM

That'd be what it would have to take. OR, the Rams do not take Justin B and select someone else, allowing the Jags to take him and then for us to trade out and give the Jets their guy.

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping for. Something like that.

Gilmore will be sitting there for sure. It's the pick before the Bengals so he'd be there. Bills, Chiefs, Seachickens, Cards, Cowgirls, iggles will pass on Gilmore they have more pressing needs and there are other players that will help them more than Gilmore.

1st Gilmore

2nd DT/DE

3rd Joe Adams

4th BPA

5th BPA

6th BPA

6th BPA

7th BPA

Super bowl. ^____^

I would be willing to move back 10 or fewer spots if it meant an extra pick in the 2nd or 3rd. For our needs the drop off in talent won't be noticeable. We can bring in an extra body that may someday develop into a quality starter. The problem is I think many of the top 10 teams would love to trade back for extra picks. The question is can they sell it to their fans if someone with elite talent is still on the board.
