Round 1, Pick #9 - Fletcher Cox, DT, Mississippi State University

Fletcher Cox is the best Defensive Tackle in the Draft, and he just so happens to play the 3 technique, which is exactly what we're lacking. He's strong, fast, and still has room to grow. Unlike Poe, Cox played in an incredibly tough conference, consistently facing potential NFL prospects. Unlike Brockers, Cox is ready to step in and play immediately. Cox definitely has a chance to go before the #9 position, but I think that we get lucky, and the Rams decide to go with Blackmon.

Round 2, Pick #8 - Trumaine Johnson, CB, Montana

Trumaine, or 'Tru', Johnson has been touted since the beginning of the whole Draft process. Some people don't know about Johnson, because he goes to a small school (Montana) but trust me, that doesn't stop him from being a high quality player. Johnson is a very, very physical player. He is up on the receivers all the time, shoving them off their routes, and disrupting their timing. There is actually film of a receiver from an opposing team eventually giving up in-game, because he's tired of facing Johnson on every snap. Along with being physical, Johnson is 6'2, and 204lbs. He won't be towered over like Captain is, and he'll be more physical than Butler.

Round 4, Pick #8 - Joe Adams, WR/KR/PR, Arkansas

There literally isn't enough I can say about Joe Adams. He can return kicks and punts, immediately replacing Armanti Edwards, he can play the slot receiver much like Smitty did his first few seasons, and he can even take hand offs out of the backfield. He honestly could be our version of Darren Sproles or Percy Harvin. The only reason that he's going to be in the 4th is because he's had worries about his size (as did Smitty) and he also had a small stroke in 2009.

Round 5, Pick #9 - Terrell Manning, OLB, NC State

Ask any NC State fan what they think of Terrell Manning, and they'll tell you he's an absolute beast of an OLB. He can pass rush, he can play coverage, and he can tackle. The only reason I believe that he's slipped this far into the draft prospects range is because he has had knee surgery in the past two years, and he needed another year to improve on his game rather than coming out early. However, with the right coaching and mentoring, Terrell Manning could take the spot of Thomas Davis within the first half of the season.

Round 6, Pick #8 - Nate Potter, OT, Boise State University

Nate Potter has been compared to Nate Solder. He has the potential to be that good. He doesn't have incredible upper body strength, but he can definitely strengthen himself up in the NFL before he actually takes a snap. Potter also gets caught flat-footed sometime (a knock against Nate Solder coming off in last year's Draft) which will allow the pass rush to go by him. It sounds all negative, right? It's not. Nate Potter is a OT with high quality potential. He's tall, has extremely long arms, and can deliver staggering blows with his monstrous hands. He has all of the physical tangibles, he just needs some learnin'. Give him a year to learn behind Gross, and he could be our future at LT.

Round 6, Pick #38 - Drew Butler, P, Georgia

Drew Butler is a beast of a Punter. He has very similar averages as Brian Anger from Cal, and he didn't even have a punt blocked last season. He can get monstrous hangtime on the ball, never overkicking his coverage. Not only that, but the news came out this week that Drew's dad played with Rivera on the '85 Bears team. Combine the facts that we just cut Jason Baker, there's an All-SEC Punter available, and Butler's dad and Rivera know each other... You can be assured we're taking a future ten-year Pro in Drew Butler.

Round 7, Pick #9 - Vontaze Burfict, ILB, Arizona State University

The Curious Case of Vontaze Burfict. He has all the talent in the world. In fact, there was a small minority wanting him with the #9 pick in the Draft early in the process. But, a bad Combine paired with the fact that the guy is a loose cannon, and you have a recipe for disaster. There's been reports that some GMs have said they wouldn't even look at Burfict. But, Rivera's said we need LB depth. We need protection for Beason's injury, and if Burfict ever works out, he could be a dominate force in sub-packages and on Special Teams.

Manning is in consistent, rather have the LB from Kentucky who has led the SEC in tackles the past 2-3 years

Only pick I dont like is Johnson, he's gonna be a safety. Go Janoris or Hosley there.

The reason I don't have Jenkins there is because I think that the Patriots are going to take Jenkins at the very end of the 1st.

Other than that, I think Johnson is going to be a CB, just a very, very physical one. I think he's just as good as Dre Kirkpatrick, and they're similar players.
