Wright is the best player. Dude will be a pro-bowler. I picked him, but I don't think he will be there. Also don't think Perry will be there, but he would be my second choice.

The two I do think will be there are Curry and David. If we go Cox in the first I take David. If we go anything other than DL in the first I take Curry.

Everything I heard is that Kendall Wright will be a 2nd round pick due to size, and teams don't think he can be a #1 WR. Also, Nick Perry or Whitney Mercilus will fall to the 2nd round.. so you can make them interchangable. I think Mercilus will get taken before Perry, so I chose Perry there.

Not sure Mercilus is a true 4-3 DE. I like him as a prospect though.

Id be happy with Perry, Curry, Jones, or Mercilus.

The opinions vary on Mercilus.. many people think he is a little too 'stiff in the hips' to play OLB, and some others disagree. Many teams think he is a 4-3 base DE only. I personally think he can play either position, but who am I?

It looks like 50% of the votes so far are towards a DE in the 2nd round. Interesting.

I think Curry, Perry, and Jones are "safer" picks at DE.

But I like Mercilus as well.

Either way we should come away from the 1st and 2nd round with some nice talent.

They are saying Jones is a sure-fire 1st round pick now. He should be picked somewhere between 16-28.

2nd rounds picks id be happy with....

Janoris Jenkins

Nick Perry or Vinny Curry (not sure who I like more)

Chandler Jones

Jerel Worthy

Devon Still

Lavonte David

Zack Brown

Yep I'd be good with all those guys. The order I would prefer depends on 1st pick, but just off talent it would be:

Jenkins

Perry

Jones

Still

David

Curry

Worthy

Brown

Not sure why people are so quick to say Perry is better than Curry.

Both relatively the same size. Curry has longer arms, better motor, more sacks / tackles, and is just a more polished pass rusher.

Perry is quicker than Curry though. Might have a bit more upside do to his athletic ability but Curry is no slouch in that department either.

Will be pretty pissed if we dont come away with one of the good DE's in Coples, Perry, Curry, and Jones.

    • this is where the Bryce defense goes off the rails for me.  We all know Bryce isn't a deep ball chunk play QB.  He doesn't have those physical tools and he doesn't play the game w/ that mindset.  It simply is not what he is.  Then you got folks going essentially going, well actually Shaq was a very efficient 3 pt shooter this season.  He shot 50% from behind the arc and Steph Curry was only at 48%.  So yeah, Shaq is a very effective 3 pt shooter.  Don't say he isn't a 3 point shooter.  Meanwhile, Shaq went 1 of 2 on the season and Steph shot 9343924 3s.  Russell Wilson is a deep ball chunk QB.  Baker is. Geno was his comeback season (best in the league that year I think is the correct call).  That's the Canales pass tree. EVERY QB throws deep at some point.  Arguing you can find a good grade when they went deep one week is just that.   No one can argue Bryce plays the game like a young Wilson throwing f you hail marys downfield.   Jake Delhomme fits Canales more than any Carolina Panther QB.  Teddy Bridgewater can grade out efficiently on his deep passes.  That doesn't make him a deep ball chunk QB.  2 totally different convos.    It would be better for everyone IMO if our org accepted what the unicorn was and built a team around that given they invested so much in him.....which is the criticism I started day 1 when they put him in Frank Reich's offense.  He didn't fit that.  He doesn't fit the Canales tree either.    NFL is about fit more than anything and it's what Carolina gets most wrong.  We essentially run offenses we don't have the QB talent for and you can say the same w/ the 3-4 D.  That's the Bryce era.
    • THE David Moore !?!?! We're saved. I expect TMac to have 200 catches, 3k yards, 20 TDs and be uncoverable this year with all the information he can get from watching our HoF WR David Moore.
    • I didn't see anyone post about this, we signed Hendon Hooker to our practice squad. With Dalton hurt and looking like shite, could he perhaps roll into the season as our backup?
