Some Don't Want Cam Scoring On The Ground ?

How many of you will be screaming for RR's head when Cam gets knocked out for the season on those goal line runs?

Even if he can successfully make them ( and he definitely can) why put him at additional risk? We signed Tolbert. Let him earn his money by pounding the rock in those goal line situations.

Steve McNair was tough and would do whatever it took to play but he was not durable. He was constantly banged up.

From the time he was given the starting QB job in 1997 and until 2006, he played every full season except 3/4 of a season (8 in 2004 and 4 in 1999 missed). Only other time he didnt was his final year.

McNair missed 10 games combined of the 2003 & 2004 seasons.

8 in 2004 and 4 in 1999 = 12 games which is 3/4 of a full season. Was he hurt at the end of 2003 in which he only missed 2 games? Even if he was, thats still only 14 games missed within a span of 12 years (95-06). That's pretty fuging good. And some of those games he might not have actually been hurt, but instead they decided to hold him out until playoff time. So you're arguement against McNair still is invalid.

Killerkat in blue...response in black:

Then why doesn't Montana have more all-pro selections than Manning, Marino, and Young. Brady only has 3. So you're compeltely wrong. Supporting cast has nothign to do with it

Supporting cast does have something to do with it. You cherry pick Montana, but it is still true.

Wouldn't that be why he is in a better situation? Do you read what you type before you post?

Seriously? Did you read anything? Cam started as a rook & did not have off-season camps, yet he was in a better situation than a guy who got to sit & learn form a very good QB? WTF?! Wow.

You're including his backup years. Again, you're providing stats without any context.

Of course I am including those. YOU set the timeframe. Remember 'a decade of greatness'? A decade equals 10 years if you didn't know...his entire career was 11 years, so how could I stay consistent with your timeframe without including those!?

McNair started 153 games out of 161. Thats pretty fuging durable. Again, do you read what you type before you post? Plus, I already just stated that the running ability tops out at about 5-8 years and I already told you what he did for 6 straight seasons.

He missed 10 games, + 1 probowl. Not exactly durable.

You're making generalizations and not being rational in order to support your argument. Four have been given to you but I can only tell you these things and not make you understand.

Please explain where I am not being rational, in detail...I'll be happy to respond. Comparing Cam to the "best" traits between 3 or 4 QBs is not reasonable...he's not Frankenstien.

Good point, I did not include the '99 season, with that...4 in '99, 2 in '03, 8 in '04 + probowl in 20002. 14 games + a probowl. I did not include games he sat out d/t coaching decisions.

For Cam, his career is in a better situation since he started right away. His talent isn't being wasted on the bench and again most likely wont go to another team in the future who already has a starter therefore making him a backup.

Decade of greatness for Cunningham were the years he was starting. You know exactly what the fug im talking about.

Im not cherry picking Montanta. It just supports that supporting cast has nothing to do with it. Again why does Brady only have 3? If the QB is excellent, they'll get an all-pro selection. There are 5 panels from major companies that select these all-pros and Im guessing that each company put together knows more about these things than you do.

Missing 10 games in 10 years isn't durable? What the fug are you smoking?

Again your arguement is moronic at best. Missing only 14 games in 10 years of starting is outstanding (97-06). And if you include the couple years where he wasn't a starter, thats 12 years.
