When Swag = Wins...

swag has nothing to do with belief in your own abilities and the abilities of your teammates. That is "confidence" and you can look that up.

swag is a made up word for kids that are too cool to use the word confidence and have to make a word up that seems cooler to them.

its stupid

to each his own but its stupid. The next time your boss looks at his team and feels confident that he will be able to complete the tasks set before him I guarantee the word "swag" will not come up in his thought process. The next time you submit a resume with the word swag on it, you won't get brought in. The next time you are brought in on an interview and are asked to explain why you are the best for the position and your confidence level in how you could fulfill the role the interviewer is seeking to fill and you use the word "swag" you won't get the job.

if you think Cam isn't working in the real world you are crazy. If you think he or anyone else in the spotlight does not try to increase their "cool" factor so the GP will buy stupid poo that they endorse you are even crazier than that.

swag is a word that encompasses too many slang uses for it to mean anything at all. The old saying that if you have two quarterbacks you have none. If a words means everything, it likely means nothing at all. Since it is used as a verb, adverb, noun, and adjective as a root word, prefex, suffix and acronym, I'd say it qualifies as something completely lacking of any real substance in the English language.

But go ahead. After all I guess its cool to look and sound like an idiot these days right?

You are correct sir, no swag is needed when applying for your mindless drivel of an existence that comprises your desk job. Now, try applying for the role of a multimillionaire, world-wide role model, team leader and NFL quarterback (who can make plays in the clutch).. yes, swag is needed on the resume.

there is no such thing as swag and there are more multimillionaires in this world that will laugh in the face of a person that uses the word than there are hippity-hop, metro, peacocks who rely on it for 2/3 of their vocabulary.

true, the word swagger is "been there done that"

swag is some crap slang for "I think I look good" and "I think people wanna be me" and "I feel really good about how I am being perceived right now"

total bullsh-t for peacocks, no room for it in a locker room, not seriously. Sure people joke, because it is a joke. But peacocks in a locker room, or any room for that matter is total bullsh-t.

sure, just so long as everyone knows where each man's priorities lie. You can role your eyes at anyone for anything and get over it as long as you have no question about where his commitment is. I don't think we are talking about divas here.

we are talking about a fake-ass word that apparently is so important to people that as long as I keep posting that it is fake, people get pissed off. This is what I am finding so humorous about this word.

we love our slang, we need our slang, we defend our slang

lol

uhhh

swag = swagger

swagger = confidence with a touch panache

if you guys want a milquetoast little christmas mouse at quarterback i suggest you petition rivera to start pickles in camp. otherwise stfu, the fact that you are pushing forty and completely behind the times and incapable of comprehending the flavor of newfangled words doesn't take credibility away from anyone.

    • I have been looking for a dropped pass list and all that comes up is QBs. And team stats. When I do receivers I get the passing stats for a handful that threw passes this year.    I wanted to be accurate but anyhow I was looking because thought I remembered reading where T Mac had more drops than XL this year.  One of you many smarter than me people here,I would appreciate it if you know how to pull that up, please do. Thank you.    And yeah I know that isn’t all there is to it I just thought it was interesting.  Of course what the hell is a drop lol.
    • I agree with this and I think it's worth mentioning too that Bryce is not consistent on his placement and especially velocity and that in large part is driven by his footwork. We all know XL doesn't have the best hands and I don't know that he can overcome that. Cam always had the heater that just hit your hands and sank into your grip, where Bryce has some that are harder thrown, some soft. Bryce stepping into a pass looks so much different than that hop throw thing he does. I think XL really needs to hit the jugs machine and start learning how to catch all these different touch passes. TMac and Coker don't have these issues. If XL doesn't get some work in he's going to be out of the league in the next couple of years.
    • I think most people like XL from a personal standpoint. I don't think he's stupid either. Although if we are being realistic he is lacking in football IQ at this point in time and it cannot be disputed that he has not taken working on his craft seriously at all times given the body of work on the field. It speaks for itself. I myself have defended him at times given the circumstances of our QB room. But he is now in his third year and 25 years old. We are not in a position as a franchise to go around babying anyone especially first round draft picks. He needs to take his position and his football career seriously or he is going to end up selling used cars somewhere. I hope he realizes this and takes an extended break from social media because that mess certainly isn't going to increase his net worth if he ends up out of the league. And these hanger on types will disappear quick too once that money dries up and it surely will eventually. We'll see how he responds.
