A Question From An Italian Fan

The Philadelphia fans are known for being extremely rude and violent. There are no "neutral/away" sections in the NFL so you will be around them. It may be best to dress impartially to avoid fights or having beer spilled on you. Just be aware of your surroundings and avoid large groups of unsupervised Eagle fans in the Parking areas.

This is one of the more entertaining things I have read on here in awhile....extremely violent? be aware of your surroundings? avoid large groups of unsupervised Eagle fans? hahahhahahahahahahahhahahahaha Good stuff.

Much of the rude treatment people get in opposing stadiums is brought on by themselves. Sure you can come up against a drunk or rowdy fan or a group of folks looking to stir things up but my experience in most stadiums is if you are respectful to them most of them will be respectful to you. Philly is a blue collar town where the fans take their football seriously and they are die hard fans. They love their Eagles and will talk junk. If you are alone and talk a bunch of smack back, the situation will escalate. But if you are with some Eagle fans and don't act like a jerk, most folks will treat you okay. If the Panthers win you shouldn't gloat because honestly that makes any home fan mad. If the Eagles win expect some ribbing and comments. After all you are in their stadium and need to act accordingly. But as Johnny Rockets said, it isn't the Vet and there are much better security measures in and around the stadium.

Fortunately i'm not from North Carolina and would never go to a shithole like Philadelphia. Hopefully for the good man from Italy he will catch the game and the 1st flight out of town.

Fortunately???Ha

yeah okay? Where are you from?

I've been to 47 states, NC is Top 5 hands down....sorry your state sucks....

Fortunately for us you're a Redskins fan....Why are you here again?

Philadelphia may not be the prettiest city, but it's sure as hell a better city than Baltimore and DC...

HOLY SH*T. The Huddle, supposed to be full of the best Panther fans around, is encouraging NOT wearing Panthers' gear to an away game? F*K the A HOLES in Philly, represent your team. This is why we get punked when teams like the Eagles and the Steelers come to Carolina. You act like a bunch of GOD DAMN 9 YEAR OLD GIRLS SOMETIMES. Fine, why don't one of you guys send him a warm sweater and I nice Chianti he can tailgate with.

What your saying is you would renounce the Panthers under threat of a beer (which the stupid philly fan probably paid 8 bucks for) being poured on your head? How many times do I have to call you fatty before I get your lunch money?

  • 6 months later...

Hey guys, i was come back yesterday from my USA trip, finally this time was a NFL oriented trip! it was Amazing, i've seen 3 NFL Games, ( Colts@NE, Panthers@Phila and Pittsburgh@Baltimore)

cause of what i read here, i didnt know if wear or not my Carolina Jersey, but at the end i decided to wear it, and there were no problems at all... when i arrived to the stadium in my mind was thinking " im the only Panthers fan tonight!" but once i was inside i've seen a pair of people with Smith Jersey, so i make a pic with one of them... while we were doing it, 2 other guys came to us and said " here we go, here we go, we come out with a W tonight!" they were right!!!!

once i arrived to my seat near me were 2 guys that look me in a strange way, but after the first touchdown they give me 5, and in front of me there were 2 other people with Newton's Jersey... so i was in a sort of little group of Panthers Fan!

i was in row 16 on the 40, and was behind the Panthers Sideline, so once the game was nearly finish, Smith start talking to some people near me with Carolina Jersey, and he saw me lift my arm and respond me! it was a really good emoction for me! he is my idol since i start watching Football!

at the end i was so happy about all, right when i bought tickets i hoped for a game between 2 teams fighting for a PO spot, and watching Cam vs Vick, but what really matter was the W, and we got it!

it was so strange how u live ur stadium, i mean in Italy its completely different, u cant put home fans n away fans in same place or u get a Fight every game! i really like this experience, like the Trash Talk during the game too with other fans it was cool!

hope next time i can come to Bank of America Stadium, maybe for a PO game!

ps: sorry for the english, porbably i made some mistake

That is awesome! Great to hear some positive experiences from an international Panther fan, not too many good stories these days on the Huddle. Glad you enjoyed and I hope you get to make it to Bank of America Stadium in the future.

ok guys, thanks for advices... in italy usually during the games, you cannot wear away's jersey if you stay with home fans... here the risk to have fight is high...

i've been in NY, for Nets @ Knicks and in Miami for Thunder @ Heat (with Westbrook jeresey) without problem... but i will follow your advices! i will be there without any jersey!

Lol

    • Playing around with mock draft simulator this is probably my favorite one yet All the Super tantalizing potentials were off the board at 19. Proctor was there but I really question if he can hold up at OT in the NFL at his size. I think speed rushers might put him in a blender. I was definitely willing to move down to pickup mire capital. There's an obvious focus on the trenches in this draft. If you can own the LOS you can win a lot of games. Hell, the Seahawks just won a SB doing just that. Iheanachor oozes potential. He has all the physical tools to end up being the beat OT in this class but he's pretty raw having not been playing football long. Well worth it with the first pick in the 2nd. Christen Miller is listed as a DT here but he'd play DE in our defense. Not a lot of people are talking about it focusing on LB instead but our DEs suck too. Lawson should be a day one starter at MLB. His NFL ceiling might be more good than great but that's fine. He's smart, he's capable, and he was the QB in that Bama defense. That's what we need. If you want to runaway 3-4 defense, you need a dog at NT. We don't have one. Orange can be that. He's not gonna pile up stats on his own but that's not the point of a NT. The point of a NT is to make everyone else's job easier.  Slaughter is a potential starting center. Maybe not as a rookie but he could potentially be the long-term answer. I'm never going to give up on my dream of the Panthers having a true sideline to sideline ball hawking FS. Safety wasn't high on my list but Bud Clark was too tempting to pass up. At the very least he's a guy who should earn a role on 3rd and long obvious passing down type situations.  Kevin Coleman is exactly the type of slot WR type we need working the underneath and muddle with T-Mac and Coker on the outside.  TJ Hall is just a dog and he's experienced playing outside and at nickel. He can cover and he's not afraid to step up against the run. He should be able to earn a roster spot as he hopefully develops as an NFL player. Nwaiwu is another development type pick with the advantage of having experience playing both LG and RG in college. At this point in the draft you're likely looking at guys projected as career backups and the more versatile you are as a backup the more roster value you have. I packaged two late rounders together to move io to secure Allar who has all the physical tools you want in a QB and has largely been forgotten since he missed a lot of games down the stretch this year. If he didn't he'd likely be a mid-round pick. He might still end up being a mid-round pick. If I could get him as a developmental guy in the 6th I'm doing that all day.
    • Honestly thought Ickey was fairlt average. That's just based on the eye test. I haven't seen any grades or anything to base that on. Usually when the QB was pressured, it seemed like it was coming from the LT or RG.
    • Its actually easier than the one we played this season of you compared 2025 win pct.of opponents.
