Cowherd Says We Go 7-9

Recommended Posts

btw i don't see you calling out London67 (post 13)

He's a panther fan. He's earned the right to criticize the team. He's at least paid for the right to speak up by going to games and buying merchandise. I don't agree with his 8-8 assessment but I do agree with him that we need to pick up a veteran player after cuts. Hopefully a CB or kicker!

I listen the herd regularly but missed today's show.

The way he looks at it I understand why he thinks we'll go 7-9.

When you look at our draft and our FA, we haven't done anything massive or eye catching to the general NFL observer. Combine that with our schedule it is very easy to project slight improvement record wise.

However with the guys coming back, off season with Rivera this team will/should improve greatly. Unless you are a cose observer its not easy to see IMO.

Colin is pretty good at projections and stuff and provides good perspective(unless it involves the Patriots) especially with college football and the NFL.

There are 16 possible outcomes to a season. You have a 3/16 chance of narrowing it down to within 1 game by throwing a dart blindfolded. It doesn't take a genius to look at a schedule and come relatively close to the correct record.

Last year I expected the offense to struggle mightily and the team to go 7-9. Instead the offense was brilliant and the defense held us to 6-10. Was I close or way off?

Well I watch every Panther game and my prediction, at this point, assuming everything goes our way is 10-6. Now if Beason/Davis/Edwards don't come back strong, or if Cam misses a couple of games for some reason, or if something happens to Steve Smith then 7-9 isn't far fetched at all. Don't really know why a 7-9 prediction is proof the guy is a moron although I obviously hope he is wrong.

Dude i've been following the panthers since day one and i've been to a few games. Hell i went to stinking Clemson to see them play. I remember who scored the very 1st touchdowns in preseason and the reg. Do you? Without googling? I doubt that very much.

Cool to hear they were giving out preseason tickets at the men's shelter in Rock Hill. I'm sure you would have preferred a warm meal instead.

Please. Stay. On. Topic.

Yes Beason is healthy and ready to go. I know this for a fact.

please stay on topic idiot

Funny, Panthers FO advised he wasn't even as far as Otah was in his rehab. That simple fact that he is still rehabbing an injury should tell you that it is a FACT he is not currently 100%

The 49ers went from 6-10 to 13-3 in one season. A lot of that is because they were something crazy like +26 in turnovers. If our defense can play reasonably well and get some takeaways, and Cam can cut down on his INT's, I don't see why 10 wins is so far fetched. People forget that except for ATL and the second NO game, we were in every game last year, and had a lead in the 4th quarter of many of our losses. We aren't as far away as people think.

Don't you mean the Titans game?...that was the worst beatting we took as a team last year...atleast in the other games our offense could atleast score...30-3 was a beating....but that game and the 2nd NO game were the worst
