Viewing child pornography online isn't a crime, the New York Court of Appeals ruled Tuesday in the case of a college professor whose work computer was found to have stored more than a hundred illegal images in its Web cache.

WTH??? Look at it, but not to store it on your computer. Another thing to hate about New York! (Other than the Giants, who play in New Jersey.)

"Viewing" is the key word. Downloading is still illegal. I don't really understand the rules myself. So its ok to look at the photos on the internet but you can't down load them? Weird, i guess downloading is viewed as possession?? Bad ruling IMO
