The Official Draft Thomas Robinson Bandwagon Thread

Ok the draft will be here before we know it. Consensus is, everyone wants Anthony Davis. After watching video etc. Davis does not appear to have an NBA body. He looks fragile. I seriously doubt he will be able to bulk up and still be quick on his feet. The guy has huge bust/injury prone written all over him.

With that said, enter Thomas Robinson. This guy has an NBA body. Very powerful and explosive. Watching highlights you would think he was Lebron. Bobcats cant afford to blow this pick. Robinson makes the most sense.

im still on davis, but if we cant get him im still tied on mkg and robinson, have to go back and rewatch film to decide between the 2, but both are good kids with alot of talent. both also play with full effort and fundamentals which is a key for me in NBA evaluations.

Robinson scares me a bit. He lacks a very consistent jumper, has shaky ball handling, and might be a little undersized at PF. He reminds me of a Kenneth Faried meets Brandon Bass. Honestly, those types of players don't warrant a top 5 pick. If the 'Cats don't go Davis I might lean towards MKG. MKG and Kawai Leonard have similar games and after seeing how well Kawai's game has translated to the pros I think it might boost MKG's draft stock.

just my opinion...

Davis #1 if we get it. All arguments against that notion shall immediately be ignored. As far as picks 2-6, I'm not really sold on anyone in particular. However, I'm not so high on MKG as everyone else. What makes him so special other than that he hustles a lot, has a great motor and a knack of getting to the rim? Reminds me of a more athletic Corey Brewer.

amazing defender and freak athlete at the age of 19. he has TONS of room to improve and is said to be an extremely hard worker. he also plays within his limits and doesn't force shots, team-first kind of player. brings a lot of energy.

and, yeah... GREAT at getting to the rim.

    • I don't necessarily think he will be moved, I would currently be leaning against that notion. I think a lot will depend on the coaching situation. Carroll certainly can't be thinking about wanting to go through a serious strip down and overhaul, so the longer he plans to remain, the less likely I think Crosby gets moved.
    • I think everyone says Mike Evans because of size, but really they have different strengths and play styles.  Tmac is better on intermediate routes and not nearly as good at contested catches.
    • At this point, it is criminal to go into the 2026 training camp/OTA's with XL penciled in as a #2 WR. The team must upgrade, either through free agency or the draft. If he cannot give 100% effort on significantly less snaps as a #4-6 WR(players like Tremayne have done that consistently) then I don't think you have a player worth rostering beyond the trade deadline. Offensively, we eventually have to upgrade to an NFL starting caliber C. It's been almost the length of time from Gross to Ikey since Kalil retired and we have below average to terrible C play. Love Mays as a BC-esque utility backup but he will never be an above average long term starting C.  The TE room is one of the worst in the NFL but it's a low usage position in this offense, so the investments are likely to be small, if any. I would never expect to see an elite TE in a Dave Canales offense. 100% agree on OL depth. We actually aren't bad there but BC will be gone, Mays is a UFA, Corbett is a UFA and Zavala has been both injured and bad. We have to bolster that depth again or resign guys like Mays and Corbett to keep that depth somewhat stable.
