Bobcats 1st Round-Pick #2 SF Michael Kidd-Gilchrist

Recommended Posts

man dont worry bout proving poo to any of them, they dont wanna hear it. most of them dont follow the team but come in to talk trash because there beloved tar holes are off in summer classes having their tutors take test for them. when the season is going on there is only about 5 of us that follow the team and talk about the team. yes we know are team is the worst in the league. yes we know its rebuilding time and it should take 4 yrs, not 1. this "poo leaper" just wants to argue, not for a player he has ever said he wants/wanted, but just to say we picked a "scrub" MKG led that team to the championship, he was the heart of the team, he can drive with either hand and finish at the rim. he can pass, he can rebound, and play great defense. all teams are built over time not because of 1 player, MKG will be like iggy. score 15pts 7 reb, 4 ast, 2steals. he will make kemba better by allowing him to play off ball. i love the pick and am happy that we got him, i wanted to trae with the cavs to 4 and hopefully still get MKG, so i was somewhat dissapointed when we didnt trade, but it didnt happen. time to move on and cheer for the team.

Why would you draft a defensive minded player when the bobcats are so inept on offense?

Because the bobcats win total next year is not important. You dont go from the worst team in NBA history to a playoff team in one fuging draft. For the cats, the draft is about getting good pieces to build around, and I think MKG is an excellent prospect.

A few days ago I wouldnt have like this pick as much, but I think Gilchrist will be a good fit next to Ben Gordon (who can shoot all day but cant play any sort of D). MKG will fit in well with the up tempo offense Dunlap is bringing in, hopefully we can bring in some role players who can shoot (like the Spurs seem to find every year)

I don't understand the people who are saying "OH NO's WE WON'T BE ABLE TO SCORE!" well we aren't done building the team yet. Hell, we basically just started building the team. MKG isn't the last piece he's just the first big one. This isn't the end of the process we are going to have to go through. It isn't even the end of the beginning.

I was surprised and a little disappointed that we were not able to pull off the Cleveland trade. However, with keepin gthe #2 pick, MKG is a good pick. There were no can't miss prospects after Davis (if you consider Davis can't miss). All of them have holes in their game.

As one commentator said.....give me a hard working player any day. That is what you got in MKG. He was a solid pick.

    • His durability was like the last negative I would look to in size related critique. Uh, evaluating him.   There have been plenty of small/short players at other positions that were tough as hell. RB, WR, some DBs and returners.  And how tall was Sam Mills?  His height, we know restricts his vision. His size inhibits ball security. Big time. I mean that could be attributed more to his lack of strength but it comes under size I suppose.  I get that throwers don’t want that upper body too bulked and tightened up but he should have been building his base it doesn’t appear that he has done much.
    • The post may be classless but the play wasn't.  Jets have nothing else to hype and probably didn't make the connection to the injury before posting
    • He helped keep the pats from having a perfect season. He should get in for doing every NFL fan that favor. lol
