Next Generation iPhone Rumors

it's funny... i like the size of my iphone screen. those freaking galaxies are beautiful but i don't want to carry around something that large.

apparently jobs wouldn't let them make the screen larger.

This always cracks me up.

An iphone 4s is 2.31X4.5 inches. An SII is 2.7X5.1 inches. So half an inch longer and 4/10s of an inch wider. Same thickness and the Droid is actually lighter than an iphone.

Yet I have to accept a screen a full inch smaller on the iphone than the Droid to go Apple.

No thanks, I'm not going back to 2009.

If you do the math, the tradeoff is that the SII is 0.71 inches bigger diagonally in order to get 0.8 inches more on your screen diagonally.

Sure, I mean the SII can cover more of its front with screen space, but that's mostly by virtue of keeping the margins the same and just stretching the size of the phone.

Some of us just prefer a smaller phone that doesn't feel burdensome in our pocket, rather than having that extra 0.1 inches of screen per extra inch of phone size.

To each their own.
