Sorry brother but you're wrong. EA tried for years to buy the rights to the NFL, I guess they finally offered enough money.

You're missing the point, the NFL didn't have to sell the rights. Whether EA approached them in the past or not, the NFL is the one who agreed to sell to the highest bidder. The NFL are also the ones who agreed to extend the lisence the first time it expired. ....those are the facts brother....

They didn't have to sell the rights to any broadcasting companies either but they did. Now you have me angry at the NFL because I have to watch Panther games on Fox instead of Nickelodeon.

Yeah.. I guess you haven't been reading. You see anybody would attempt to out do EA but theres an itty bitty problem. EA is full of a bunch of greedy bastards. So they bought the exclusive rights so nobody can make a football game but them.

false.

anyone can make a football game. EA has exclusive rights to use the NFL license

Yes, come up with some completely invalid ridiculous response because you have no ammo to combat the facts...

Your facts are a joke, the only fact is EA shoved so much money at the NFL that Taglibue had no choice but to give them the rights. With the next gen consoles on the horizon EA knew that people would buy new games with their new system, that is why they rushed the piece of crap that Madden 06 was on the 360. EA has destroyed countless other franchises, and without any competition Madden is heading that way.

My facts are just that....facts. NFL sold the rights noone else. Be mad at the NFL for whoring themselves to the highest bidder, not at EA for making a smart business move....

I can still be mad at EA for all the other things I listed in this discussion. The lack of ability to continue play after 1 year because of creation limits and the extreme lack of progression between years.

Continue being mad by all means then...

    • It appears that he sees things differently than the QB and OC, so Cam's advice is spot on. It isn't about number of targets, it's about quality of targets. Trust and being on the same page. BY doesn't know how to anticipate what XL is doing. And XL doesn't like where BY is placing passes. One on one film study would go a long way. More for BY than XL though. He has to adjust to XL. I really don't think XL can adjust on the fly.
    • If the team shows improvement, then he shouldn't be in danger of losing his job - even if the record doesn't reflect. This was a very young team (with a lot of new vet starters) that overperformed last season. Somebody's doing something right. Consistency is key with so much youth. And we're potentially looking at new starters at ILB and FS. Those are positions that take time to fully understand the defense. ILB calls the front 7. Safety calls the back 4. Injuries at WR and IOL killed the offense last season. Depth needs to be upgraded. Same with Edge. I think they would have won more games if Pat Jones doesn't go down early. Be smart with the roster and draft. Trade players for assets when it's time to pay them more than they're worth - yes, that includes BY if he doesn't make a pretty big jump. That's one of the many reasons Tillis is as important as anyone to the future of this team.
    • He had heart surgery a while back he looks Fraile I hope he is okay
