Beason's thoughts on Nakamura

No doubt he can get people to the ground with his Judo background and that is strong praise from Beason. I wonder if he can unseat Martin though. Now that Rivera has the Secondary coach he wants in Wilks and everyone on the same page with a full offseason, I expect both our starting safeties to bounce back.

I do not want to cause a stir. But, if these practices are non contact. How can you tell what ability he truly does possess? I can see on his coverage skills, and how quickly he reads plays and such. But we still do not know if he can do the physical stuff.

I do hope he can bring some talent and attitude to the position. Would be nice not to have to worry about our Safety position.

i don't know...ask beason, you know, the guy that knows a lot more than any of us and who made that comment.

Not sure how well someone can judge a guy like Nakamura in OTAs, but I think it says something about our current safeties if he's wowed by the guy in non-contact drills.

According to rayzor, you'll have to ask Beason. He was the one that started all this with his praise of Hakuri.

Ethics (work).

Work ethic is the bane of the less talented, and those that wish to be great. As of now, the only folks that know his ability are the Ravens org. Unless you know a Raven, have seen film of their practices, or seen the handfull of plays he axtually has. You kno't know Hakuri.

But hell, if Beason says he is better than Harris. Well, I can live with that, until I get to see for myself. You sheep are for counting not posting. JK

GOOOOOOO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Even if he beats the odds, returns midseason  and plays like he did last year it won’t warrant a big contract extension.
    • It’ll be interesting to see how the board falls I completely agree with you on TE for us The safety from Oregon would be the cherry on top for Evero’s defense/scheme.  If a OL’men is there that you love it would be very hard to pass up. This fan base seems to just see Walker as a stop gap but I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s the same age as Ekwonu. He’s had a much more impressive career arc/progression than Icky has. He’s the better pass protector. As far as I see it if Walker has a good year I’d bring him back over Icky. Ekwonu isn’t some elite franchise LT. Playing next to Lewis is going to be great for Walker much like it has been for Icky. We definitely need to get younger/cheaper on the OL though so for this reason alone it’s still top of my list come round 1 if board falls this way  Could also use another corner with Mike Jackson’s deal up after this season and needing a nickel but Corey Thornton looked really good in that role in the limited time we got to see him. However he’s coming off an achillies injury and you never know with those.  Then as mentioned above we do still have a need at WR. As far as “weapons” go it’s kind of a 2 man show with Tmac and Coker and neither is a burner. If Jordan Tyson is there at 19 and we can have a young WR group locked up for cheap that’s a huge advantage cap wise  And don’t forget linebacker. That clip in Devin’s Lloyd blueprint they used from Evero saying they need more intelligence there could’ve been left out for Wallace’s sake but it’s true. Wallace is lost in coverage. Pair a smart linebacker with Lloyd and that’s a group with Wallace and Cherelus being depth
