hope everything works out..must have done a good job to come in and compete to start at RT

I been through in Carolina, besides the good field play. I had a lot left. The thing about Carolina is they kind of frown on off-field incidents. I was unfortunate to have two of them when I was there."

Bridges impressed during his minicamp tryout, coaches said, and he could compete with longtime starting tackle Jon Jansen and third-year player Stephon Heyer for the first-string right tackle job. "I'm going to compete for the right tackle spot," said Bridges, listed at 6-feet-4, 326 pounds. That's just what it is. And it's all friendly competition. It's the NFL. That's what it's about. That's what keeps guys thriving.

I can't stand hypocrites.

I'm a religious man, except for that time when I pulled a gun on a woman. But I went to church the following Sunday, so it's all good.

Church is for sinners not saints. Some folks are just bigger sinners than others.

Most folks who find church have done plenty of sinning along the way. Bridges obviously hasn't even slowed down.:D

I'm not a Bridges guy for sure, but Beaux's comment was a little over the top, as you pointed out. "He that throw's the first stone" and all that... :lol:

Going to church doesn't make someone a hypocrite. Most church going people will readily admit that they have problems and aren't perfect. You're just repeating a played out stereotype.

What stereotype am I repeating? I just don't see what reason a religious person has for pointing a gun at someone.

I know as well as anybody that people have problems, nor do I proclaim myself as particularly religious. I just cannot stand hypocrisy in any facet of life. It just seems you find a lot of hypocrisy within religion.

By the same token, I've met many great people in churches, and I know no one is perfect. People are flawed and complex, but there should be some similarity between what a person says they are -- i.e. a man of God -- and how they act.

I don't see where Panthers55 said my comment was over the top.

I am far from perfect, but I can guarantee I've never done anything as bad as pulling a gun on someone. :leaving:

Moral of the story: People make mistakes and Bridges provides great depth. Good luck, Mr. Bridges.

      Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.

      Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
