Hurney's message to all of us..

Recommended Posts

Why? Becasue he traded a first rounder RT mistake for a pick to get a WR to replace his second+ rounder mistake in AE? If stewy doesn't resign that draft year will turn from Hurney's best to yet again another average one if not bad one.

My point is, we can sit and point at things all day and say whether Hurney is responsible for the blame or props but ultimatley, and msot importantly the wins have not been there with the team he has fielded so far, he not the only one to blame but some of you tend to ignore or excuse any BS frm Hurney then all make these lame homer threads when he does something that we don't even know will pan out.

Wait for the wins is all I ask.

the exact same thing can be said for those bashing Hurney every opportunity they can get despite the good things Hurney has done, with merely a few examples of the bad.. While ignoring it's clear the coach was very much responsible for the knee jerk reaction in 2008 and 2009.. John Fox was given one last chance by JR, and failed.

I think some people, like myself, think there is more than enough reason to be patient for those wins since it's pretty easy to acknowledge the change in atmosphere from the John Fox "I'll take what I can get" era to the Ron Rivera "step up or get shipped out."

There is a middle ground.. It's just interesting to watch two arguments go in extreme directions just to overcompensate to make a point..

I 100% agree but do you see what is going on around here? We jsut traded a first rounder tackle from four years ago and people start hurney prop threads? lol. Right now I'm kind of pissed to be honest. I'm not 100% blaming hurney but I sure as hell am not giving him props.

    • Smith-Wade for me. He has the path to some decent hefty snaps in Evero’s scheme. He held his own last year and improved as he continued to get snaps— If he makes some strides, could be a very capable nickel.  I agree with Sanders. Bryce had some trust in him that final Falcons game post crazy head-stand.  Bryce looked for him a lot that final game and made some critical catches to get us the W. Seems he’s put in major work so I’m hopeful about him.  Wallace will have an offseason under his belt. I like him a lot, was higher graded than most remember in his draft (I.e Brugler had him LB3/70 overall) but he isn’t as cerebral of an LB as we’re used to. I think he could thrive if we get D captain/film-junky type next to him— because right now that’s Jewell.  Still a bit cautious but love the talent. Rozeboom may snag some playing time from him if he’s still working out the kinks.
    • Didnt Canales already say starters are playing in the pre season? either way extra reps dont hurt but im not one of those people that think playing in the pre season would have saved Bryce from an awful start.
