Training Camp 7/29 (Day 2) Twitter Updates

Panthers defense ahead of the offense here early in camp. It would help is the receivers stop dropping the ball. Too many drops.

From what I have been told and read about this is how it SHOULD be for the first week. I remember my high school coach, who played in the NFL, told me that if the offense is blowing out the D for the first few days you will have problems this season.

Again great job and do you know if B.Hogan was working with the second team because I didn't hear anything about him the last two days?

That's cuz Norman's the new sheriff in town.

Anyone at practice see Davis favoring is injured leg or see him re-injure it?

Ron Green tweeted...

Oh, for the love of God. RT @RonGreenJr: Thomas Davis comes out appearing to favor repaired knee. May be nothing. He's walking around.

However, he did a follow up tweet...

Darin Gantt ‏@daringantt

OK, then. It's a worry every time he stubs a toe. RT @RonGreenJr: Davis doesn't appear concerned about his leg. Hanging out talking with Cam

Don't tell that to the Cam haters last year. All of the success he had was because the offenses were ahead of the defenses early according to them. Even though we know that defenses are almost always ahead of the offenses early on.

I was looking forward to seeing Davis used as a great situational player blitzing and almost playing a rover role

Really??? You were "looking forward to" seeing something that's about as likely as the national debt being $0 tomorrow?

Were you, or are you just that PC?

    • My take on Darnold was always that he was fine with a good offensive line but would wilt under pressure with a poor line (Jets and Panthers). Seattle began the year w/ a pretty bad oline and they improved somewhat but Darnold is showing he is a pretty good qb. Imagine what the Panthers would be today with Darnold and without Bryce Young and all the wasted draft picks to get him.
    • Similar situation but that would be a better version than what we currently have. Sam isn't a franchise QB but he is a good bridge guy. Either Seatle finds a young guy to groom or they have hit their ceiling. They 100% can't put it on Sam's shoulders and expect to win but the team needs to carry less with him at QB to win vs what this team has to do with Bryce.
    • to me the post would suggest Sam Darnold was good last night because Seattle won in a wild game.   Which is what we do with Bryce Young.   Sam Darnold didn't play well last night.  Which is how he trends, goes to a new team.....looks okay and becomes classic Sam Darnold down the stretch.  Last 6 or 7 weeks old bad Sam is coming out a lot (and then a weird Atlanta game mixed in lol).
