Mike Martz/ Ron Pitts will be Announcing Week 1

I don't mind Ron Pitts that much- not a great announcer but he does seem to know more about the team than some of the guys like Troy Aikmen who only pulls his head out of the NFC East's rear long enough to slurp Aaron Rodgers or Drew Brees, but still.

I'm guessing the Panthers/Bucs is probably the lowest "marquee" of the 4:25pm start times for Week 1. Hopefully, as the season progresses and we get some wins, they will move up the ranks.

And really, Mike Martz??!!

other two late games that week are hawks at cards and niners at the pack. I'm guessing the pack will be on for most of the nation.

You're right. Panthers/Bucs will probably only be shown in the respective team's markets.

I believe the CBS announcers overall are much better. The Panthers only get them twice a year, but they seem to be better prepared in terms of actually knowing the team than some of the Fox announce teams, especially Aikman/ Buck.

And it's not just the Panthers. For the most part, on teams outside of the NFC East, they know less about the teams than I do. I can understand for the most part them being assigned to the bigger market teams, but when the are assigned to cover other teams in the NFC, they should be better prepared.

simple solution is to mute the tv, and listen to your panthers radio broadcast. you'll have to play with your dvr though to get them synched up. I've tried this, and they always seem to be about three seconds apart. I just use the tv sound, and don't let sorry broadcasting bother me.

If you go on the internet you can find these gadgets that will let you sync the sound between the radio and the delayed TV.

About 2 bills.

Joe Buck is terrible. That is all.

He is hardly terrible. He is better at baseball since that is what he started under, but he is hardly terrible. I like Aikman and Buck a lot. They rarely mess up names and generally are thoughtful. Might not be the most entertaining bunch but they are better than any other Fox crew. Not like Jim Nantz kills it on CBS. Dude is just bizarre announcing anything but golf.

http://www.daansystems.com/radiodelay/

This works to delay streaming internet radio broadcast for 0 bills. I've used this on 3 sucessive laptops now to listen to the radio broadcast while watching panthers games (about 6-8 years now). Really small file (173 kb). The problem is finding a streaming broadcast. The nfl has clamped down and tried to shutdown all radio stations from streaming their live broadcast of nfl games, thus maintaining their monopoly of internet radio broadcast from the nfl.com website. Same fuggin' nfl lawyer Nazis that forced Zod to change the name of this website from panthershuddle.com to carolinahuddle.com. I can usually find one, but it gets harder every year.

I've almost bought the 2 bill $$$ physical gadget a couple of times so I don't have to search so hard for a radio station the streams the broadcast. Searching for a station that does it at the beginning of a game can be a PITA. The radio broadcast is usually 5-8 total seconds ahead of the tv in my case becase of:

1. Janet freakin' Jackson and

2. Satellite delay on the tv broadcast.

I have had cases when I can't get it to work. If it's Aikman/Buck or formerly Theisman, I usually go with a muted tv and pretend I'm in a bar.

EDIT: Oh, and Aikman/Buck suck donkey balls. Just sayin'. I've actually grown to like the Mixon/Robinson combination.

I don't care who it is as long as it isn't Buck/Aikman. They are the absolute worst and that they are the "#1 crew" for Fox speaks to how dumb the people over at Fox are.

Huh?

Fox was the only NFL carrier with a ratings increase with Buck/AIkman leading the way and being the most watched daytime TV show. Fox's pregame show has been #1 in ratings 18 years straight but yes the people at Fox are dumb. Good luck on your future TV executive career.

Whoa sorry Rupert Murdouche, didn't mean to get sand in your vagina.

Nice job reading the Fox press release. I'd argue that Fox's rating increase is due to carrying the NFC with the Cowboys, Giants, Redskins, Bears, Packers etc. The AFC just doesn't have teams with those types of fanbases outside of the Steelers. People are not watching more games on Fox because they prefer the announcers. Is that what you are trying to say?

Every resonable person knows Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are terrible.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
