Can we trade Armanti?

He'd never make it as a backup QB. The guy is super small and skinny (would be the smallest in the game). NFL lineman would KILL him if he was back there more than a few snaps. Nobody wanted AE for a QB. He knew going into the draft that he would have to convert.

if Clausen, Lienhart, McCoy, Tannenhill could make as a backup than I believe ae could as well.P.S. Tannenhide will be a backup!

Well if nobody wanted him, he shouldn't have been drafted

NOT drafted and then changed to a new position

I rather have Armanti than JIMMY as our 3rd string QB

Any day of the week

That's not saying much... LOL

I'd rather have a real 3rd string QB and cut them both.

I rather "they" didn't draft either

Cause of that, I'm not going to express my dislike or hatred for Armanti or Jimmy. They didn't draft themselves and place themselves on our team

Same with Godfrey. Another played drafted and changed to a different position who most Panther fans want replaced

When you pass for 11k and run for 5k in a college career, ya gotta be pretty good...I want AE to succeed at wr, but he doesnt have that chip on my shoulder-killer attitude that it takes to be successful as a wideout in the NFL...He should go to the CFL and pay qb, and come back to the nfl after everyone sees what a 5'10 qb in Seatle can do.

when you pass for 11k and run for 5k and the competition is that of an intramural team, it's not so impressive

Here's some intramural guys who were drafted into the NFL just this year:

Round/pick

2 - 1 - St. Louis - Brian Quick - WR - Appalachian State

3 - 2 - St. Louis - Trumaine Johnson - CB - Montana

4 - 3 - Baltimore - Gino Gradkowski - OG - Delaware

4 - 35 - Baltimore - Christian Thompson - S - SC State

4 - 38 - Green Bay - Jerron McMillain - S - Maine

4 - 40 - Dallas - Matt Johnson - S - Eastern Washington

5 - 8 - Carolina - Josh Norman - CB - Coastal Carolina

5 - 27 - New Orleans - Corey White - S - Samford

5 - 34 - Baltimore - Asa Jackson - CB - Cal Poly

6 - 19 - Oakland - Chris Bilukidi - DT - Georgia State

6 - 23 - Washington - Tom Compton - OT - South Dakota

7 - 15 - Dallas - Caleb McSurdy - ILB - Montana

7 - 36 - Green Bay - BJ Coleman - QB - Chattanooga

And here's a list of intramural players who've succeeded in the NFL in spite of the limited and unimpressive competition in the FCS. Perhaps you've heard of them.

Jerry Rice

Kurt Warner

Adrian Peterson

Brian Westbrook

Randy Moss

Steve McNair

Richard Dent

Michael Strahan

Terrell Owens

Rich Gannon

Phil Simms

Duante Culpepper

Tony Romo

Neil Lomax

Matt Birk

Nate Newton

Charles Haley

Dexter Coakley
