It wouldn't surprise me one bit if it's McClain's position to lose now, similar to how Byron Bell came in for Otah and never relinquished the spot. Hopefully this will motivate Neblett (if he doesn't get cut) and/or give McClain the reps that he needs to feel comfortable on an NFL defensive line.

Just a few more days until the regular season... fingers crossed... no injuries mantra, go!

Marco??? So close. I think for the moment you may be correct. Not sure how long either or both can keep them. I do believe McClain has a decent chance of being pretty good, so he may well keep his job for the foreseeable future.

He did get plenty of playing time last year, so I really would not use that arguement if you know what I mean. I will say he may make drafting, or hiring, a DT a moot point. McClain has done two things so far this year. He regained his name. And he has shushed the starting DT rabble.

Not sure how good Bell can be? If he can hold down that RT spot, against all comerz, for the long term. We are the better team for it. At this point in time he is the man. Me, I am not sure he has the ceiling to remain the man indefinately.

He got those reps during a season with no offseason at a position that is notorious for requiring players a season or three to develop. This will be his first season with an actual offseason preceding it, as well as a year on an NFL training regimine. The quality of the reps are quite different, imo at least.

cheating is cheating. grow the fug up.

I heard one expert say that he is guessing that 50% of pro baseball players are using ped s. My guess is that there are a LOT of NFL players using them as well. I bet you might be suprised to learn just who is.

Now I see what you were saying. This is something I wholeheartidly support. McClain has made strides this offseason. Puts him ahead of the curve. And I beileve it was because of the experiences of his rookie year.

Few DTs are sure things. You just have to draft them and give them the tools they need. Some staffs seem better suited for this than others. Our new regime did a fine job with the kids. Lots of flashing going on.

It is year two for a team that was not well stocked. We made strides this year to put ourselves in contention. Next year is the year our true destiny will be forged.

    • Wide Receiver: Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers – 85.3 One of the more shocking developments of the 2025 NFL season has been the Carolina Panthers’ ascension to the top of the NFC South, which they achieved with Sunday’s win over the Buccaneers. Perhaps nobody has made a bigger difference than former eighth overall pick Tetairoa McMillan, who continued to be a steady presence in the Panthers’ offense. McMillan caught six passes for 73 yards and a touchdown in the win Tight End: Mitchell Evans, Carolina Panthers – 91.1 Evans only saw the field for 16 snaps, but he was efficient in his limited playing time. He caught all three of his targets for 23 yards on just six receiving snaps while also grading well in pass protection (72.2 grade) and as a run-blocker (68.4) Edge Defender: Nic Scourton, Carolina Panthers – 77.9 The former second-rounder out of Texas A&M has been a force along the Panthers’ defensive line, and he was a key contributor in Carolina’s huge win over the Buccaneers. Scourton recorded two stops as a run-defender and added another while in coverage. Scourton also tallied his sixth sack of the year while contributing another pressure to the mix Safety: Lathan Ransom, Carolina Panthers – 75.7 Another Carolina Panther on this week’s list, Ransom has typically been stronger in run defense — he carries an 85.2 grade in that field on the season. But Sunday against the Buccaneers was his best day in coverage. Ransom intercepted his only target, which wound up being the game-winner that put the Panthers in the driver’s seat in the NFC South
