I agree, our FS blitz hasn't gotten their not one time. It's like our FS's intentionally blitz right into the blockers.

What are you talking about? We did blitz on some plays. The Thomas Davis sack was a linebacker stunt blitz for example. We just didn't do it as often as we will once the season starts. And we didn't always blitz for example on third down and long as we might do in the regular season. But to say we aren't practicing aspects of it means you aren't paying attention or don't know what you are watching.

Positives: Thomas Davis looked good and Kuechly is a beast. Did anyone appreciate the way Kuechly wrapped up on that screen play near the beginning of the game? A lot of guys wouldn't have closed out that play.

We seem to do ok in the red zone. Could be a bend but don't break type of defense that got the Pats to the superbowl last year. I'm trying to be optimistic.

They have less field to work with hence advantage defense.

Our DL is horrible ....specifically our pass rush and secondary.I think most of us agree our run defense would improve with Ron Edwards and a better lb corp.We do not have the talent pool.We need more Keiser and less Hardy.

No, but we are playing a very vanilla D right now with very little stunts. 4 man basic front the majority of the time.

Our Dline is what killed us last year bc our D couldn't get off the field. Our D against the pass looks a little better, but our run D was much better. Kuechly, Beason, and TD will make plays for us. Kuechly is everywhere - he is special.
