I fully expect this to be a blasphemous statement but I think I'd still take Luck over Newton if Indy offered a straight up trade. I am almost entirely confident Andrew Luck is the next Manning/Brady. Newton had the best rookie season of any QB ever, but rookie years are not what careers are made of. However, he certainly has the potential to be something like we've never seen if he keeps his head in the game. Newton is beyond great, but this thread seems to indicate we went to the playoffs last year and/or are doing awesome this year. While I think we're going to come out firing, I am hesitant to get ahead of myself here.

I can't be the only one on here that thinks that either.

By the same token, a lot of people seem quite willing to anoint Luck as Football Jesus before he's ever played a single for-real down in the NFL. I have no doubt that he will be a great QB either, but I think given what I've seen of the two I would still prefer Cam. He has a drive that seems to burn in him, and that is something we have yet to see in Luck in my opinion. I think Cam's fire inspires those around him to step up their game and play at a higher level. Perhaps Luck will likewise wow us and inspire his teammates, but I will stick with the guy who's driving our bus until he does something to make me change my mind.

Lol glass houses?? Some of you people are silly. I never said the Redskins were successful last season. Having a losing season is not successful. As a matter of fact if you don't win the Super Bowl its a failed season in my book.

I think Newton is a better fit for the offense Chud runs. Not necessarily the option stuff, but meaning Earheardt-Perkins. Newton to me is the better down field passer, where Luck is superior in the short to intermediate off play action.
