If Rob Chudzinski isn't back next year, then i would bet money on us going after Norv Tuner as an OC next year. The Chargers will fire Norv Turner if they don't do well this year.

I don't know how well this would work, seeing as norv is used to sbeing riveras boss

Chud should be paid more than Rivera. And I'm not joking. Chud is basically the biggest piece to our team with Cam. We'd be stupid to let him walk.

Why is RR letting Chud getting all these interviews anyway? It makes me think RR may be scare Chud may boot his butt out the team one day by keeping someone as good as Chud around. Anything, RR should be the one singing for Chud to stay.

Chud is overrated. A good OC....but overrated. Talent driven league. Give McD a stud DL and 2 CBs and being would be going nuts.

Rivera didn't let Chud interview....he had no choice. He can't prohibit a coach interviewing for a promotion

Now McD, he's overrated. Not in the league but on the huddle here. Chud is as good as it get. Pay the man his worth! W/o Chud, Cam is not Cam.

Hogwash. Cam is Cam. Always has been....dominated the last 3 years making every staff he arrived to look good. Cam can run the high school spread option in the NFL.....and Chud is pimped as a genious.

What was Belichick before Brady? A bum fired by the freaking Browns. What was Jim Caldwell in Indy....a Superbowl champ? Talent driven league.

McD isn't overrated here. Most were too hard on him last year.

Chud will eventually leave. Cam will continue to get better regardless as long as his new OC plays to his strengths. Personally, I hope Norv's son climbs the ranks....the Little Giants play was his, not Chuds. He stole it from daddy. We just need to to stick with the Norv coaching tree and will be fine

Cam is not Cam w/o Chud. Trust me. How'd you wonder every time Cam finds an open receiver, somehow they're always wide open.

Cam makes RR look real good. Cam doesn't make Chud look good. Chud makes Cam look good. I hate to say it but RR is also very overrated bc of Chud.

chud is overrated?

ugh....

we don't need no stinking OC. we've got cam.

we don't need no stinking RBs. we got cam.

we don't need no stinking D. we got cam.

Saying Chud is overrated on this board doesn't mean he isn't a dang good OC. Cam Newton has literally walked onto 3 teams in 3 years and dominated....there is a reoccurring theme there.

Those saying we should pay Chud more than Rivera and giving Chud all the credit for Cam's success are going overboard. Lots of OCs would look GREAT with Cam, Smitty, Double Trouble and our Pro Bowl lead OL. QB driven league....not an OC driven league. People for some odd reason want to flip that in Carolina.

I hope this is a sarcastic post.... But given some of your past ignorant comments you probably believe this

Cam is Cam. You must not watch college football. The QB before cam sucked, qb after cam sucked worse, Malzahn looks like genius with cam, and looked like a genius at Tulsa & Arkansas.

Sometimes it a combination of player and Coach, Chud most likely recommended Tutu, and Nannee. That surely didn't make him a genius. Chud didn't convince Steve Smith to stay, Cam did. Lots of variables. Clausen sure doesn't make Chud look like a genius. I saw plenty of 3rd and 4th string backups this pre-season that had higher completion percentages and more td's. Andy Reid is the only coach that I have seen that can take about any QB and make them look good, or better than they really are. If he gets fired this year, I'd love to have him as an OC or possibly Norv Turner. Heck Shula might do a nice job he's been a head coach before.

    • Yep, the Panthers powers that be seem desperate to convince themselves he can clear the bare minimum bar of demanding a legit franchise QB contract. Canales seems to be laying the groundwork here of building the case that all of Bryce's shortcomings are still there and even more glaring than you may have thought while his strengths aren't nearly as strong as you had hoped and aren't near enough to make up for the lack of pure physical tools. When you have historically anomalous lack of measurables you need historically anomalous positive intangibles to make up for it. That was always issue with Bryce as a prospect. Like Parcells said when evaluating him, "he better walk on water".
    • I'm honestly not sure how much "west coast" plays into it. There's a huge difference between Tucson, AZ and Spokane, WA where he spent the previous two decades of his career. Chapel Hill is significantly different than Spokane but way more similar to it than Tucson. You're talking about a pretty significant plane ride to get back home either way. He and his family would be flying private and direct so we're talking about a 3ish hour flight vs. a 5ish hour flight. That's basically a wash. It's not like he went from Gonzaga to another PNW program. Tucson is a dramatic departure from Washington state. Honestly a far bigger departure climatically and scenery wise than Chapel Hill would be.
    • When asked if he thought he was close to returning to game action, "When you skate just with the goalie coach, it's tough to understand what your level is. Today, Svech scored on me a couple — probably a bad moment for me. I don't know. I'm probably very far from play if he scores on me." God, I love Kucci!
